- Candidates working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies should bring ‘No Objection certificate’ at the time of Walk-in-Interview.
- Candidates need to produce their original documents for proof of Caste, Age, Education Qualification/NET/GATE and NOC (wherever applicable) along with Passport size Photographs, failing which, the candidate will be debarred from attending the Walk-in interview.Candidates may bring project report/technical work demo in support of their candidature.

- Antecedent of selected candidates will be verified at the time of joining, if selected.
- Admission shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. The admission shall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the Laboratory which may refuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reason thereof. Number of seats for RA and JRF may increase or decrease without prior notice.
- It may please be noted that offer of Fellowship does not confer on Fellows any right of absorption in DRDO.
- Reporting time is 0900 hrs on 18 Sep 2019 at main gate of DFRL, Mysore. Late comers will not be allowed at any cost.

- he Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL) is an Indian defence laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Located in Mysore, Karnataka, it conducts research and development of technologies and products in the area of food science and technology to cater the varied food challenges for the Indian Armed Forces. - The Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL) came into being on 28th December 1961 under the aegis of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, at Mysore especially to cater to the varied food challenges of Indian Army, Navy, Airforce and other paramilitary forces.
- DRDO was formed in 1958 from the amalgamation of the then already functioning Technical Development Establishment (TDEs) of the Indian Army and the Directorate of Technical Development & Production (DTDP) with the Defence Science Organisation (DSO). DRDO was then a small organisation with 10 establishments or laboratories. Over the years, it has grown multi-directionally in terms of the variety of subject disciplines, number of laboratories, achievements and stature.
- Today, DRDO is a network of more than 50 laboratories which are deeply engaged in developing defence technologies covering various disciplines, like aeronautics, armaments, electronics, combat vehicles, engineering systems, instrumentation, missiles, advanced computing and simulation, special materials, naval systems, life sciences, training, information systems and agriculture. Presently, the Organisation is backed by over 5000 scientists and about 25,000 other scientific, technical and supporting personnel. Several major projects for the development of missiles, armaments, light combat aircrafts, radars, electronic warfare systems etc are on hand and significant achievements have already been made in several such technologies.
