General Information:
- North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited is a Schedule –‘A’ “Mini Ratna” Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. The Corporation is engaged in planning, designing & executing power projects of hydro, thermal & Solar and entering into Wind Energy Projects. The Corporation propose to engage 46 (Forty six) apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 for a period of one year apprenticeship training in the following trades for its different Plants/Projects/ Establishments.
- The candidate should be a resident of North East India.
- The candidate must have Aadhar Card/ Driving License/ Pan Card/ Voter ID Card/ Passport which is required for online registration.
- Age limit: Maximum age 28 years as on 30-06-2019 but not less than 18 years. Age relaxation is allowed for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Classes/ Persons with Disability/ Ex-servicemen, as per applicable Govt. of India rules.
- Reservation for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Classes/ Persons with Disability/ Economically Weaker Section, will be as per existing Govt. of India rules.
- Read detail advertisement and instructions before filling up the online application form.
- No Application Fee is required.
- Documents related to Essential Qualification such as Pass Certificate, all Marksheet, Trade Certificate, Trade License, Age Proof (HSLC Certificate or Birth Certificate), Caste/PwD Certificate, etc. need to uploaded online.
- Candidates those who have already undergone such type of training / experience of one year or more are not eligible to undergo the training as per the Apprenticeship Act.
- Candidates still pursuing their course or are waiting for final result need not apply.

- No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for Selection Test (if any) or reporting for training program.
- Candidates are advised to keep their registered e-mail ID active for receiving advices, viz. call letters/advices, etc. till the declaration of results.
- Online submission of application will be closed on 28th February, 2020
- Selection shall be based on merit as per mark secured in the engineering Diploma / ITI Course (as the case may be). If there are large numbers of applicants, the management reserves the right to conduct a written test of 100 marks and candidates shall be shortlisted based on the mark secured in the written test.
- List of selected candidates will be made available at www.neepco.co.in. The call letters will be sent through their registered email only.

- North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) is a schedule-A ‘MINI RATNA’ Category-1 Central public sector Enterprise owned by the Government of India under the Ministry of Power, formed on 2 April 1976 to plan, investigate, design, construct, generate, operate and maintain power stations in the North Eastern Region of the country.
- It has 60% of total installed capacity of North east region, which is 1457 MW. NEEPCO’s authorised share capital is Rs.5000 Crores at present and its net worth as of 31 March 2019 is Rs.6300 Crores. NEEPCO is a premier profit making corporation and also offer one of the best pay packages in the industry.
- NEEPCO is embarking on a plan to generate at least 1500 MW power from non-conventional sources of energy, especially by tapping solar power and wind in the next five years. NEEPCO has 1 power project under development namely 600 MW Kameng HEP.
- On 21st of November 2019, the Government of India approved the take over of North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) by NTPC Limited.

NEEPCO has one power project under development which is 600 MW Kameng HEP which is scheduled for commissioning within the financial year 2019-20.
