General Instruction:
- ONLINE applications are invited from ELIGIBLE and desirous candidates for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for imparting training at Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli. Imparting Training in Railway will not confer any right to the candidates for their absorption in Railway after successful completion of training. It shall not be obligatory on the part of the MCF Administration to offer any employment to the Apprentice on completion of period of his/her apprenticeship training in his/her establishment.
- Candidates are advised in their own interest to submit ONLINE application much before the closing date, to avoid possible inability/failure to log on to the website of MCF on account of heavy load on the interne or website jam during last days. MCF will not accept any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their application within the last day on account of aforesaid reasons or any other reason, whatsoever.
- Notified slots are subject to change i.e. increase or decrease as per the requirement of administration.
- Merely Registering/fillirig up online application on website does not entitle the candidate being eligible for engagement process.
- The decision of Railway Administration on all matters relating to eligibility, place, date, mode of selection, acceptance or rejection etc. shall be final and binding on the candidates.
- The candidature of the applicants shall be liable to be rejected at any stage of selection/engagement process in case of concealment of any fact, which is in contravention to the above laid down conditions. The decision of the Railway Administration shall be final and binding on the candidates.
- No TA/DA/Accommodation will be given for appearing in the process. Applicant has to make their own arrangements. The Railway Administration reserves the right to fix any date, as deemed suitable, change place or postpone (at its own convenience), or even cancel the process due to unforeseen circumstances against which no claim will be accepted. No request for change of date & venue will be entertained at any stage.
- Candidates should bring all documents uploaded with ONLINE Application Form in Original along with one set of self-attested photo copies i.e. (Matriculation or Equivalent Certificate & Marks Sheet, ITI Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT with Mark Sheet, Caste Certificate, Disability Certificate, Ex-SM Discharge or Dependent Certificate etc.) on the day of Document Verification at the given Place and time through SMS and e-mail, without which candidature will be cancelled. Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by a self-attested translation in English/Hindi.
- If it is noticed by the Railway Administration that applicant has furnished wrong information/fake certificates, the Railway Administration reserve the right to discharge the candidate/engaged candidate at any stage without notice even after his engagement to undergo training.
- Candidate’s admission at all stages of the process will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility condition.
- Any material suppression of facts or submitting of forged Certificates
by a candidate for securing eligibility and/or obtaining privileges, including fee exemption shall lead to rejection of his/her candidature. - Any subsequent changes in the terms and conditions of the Notice as per extant rules will stand good. MCF reserves the right to consider/incorporate any subsequent changes/ modification/additions/ cancellation in the terms & conditions to engagement under this Notice as and when applicable.
- MCF reserves the right to reject the candidature of any applicant at any stage of the process of engagement, if any irregularity/ deficiency is noticed in the application.
- Canvassing in any form, misbehavior or misconduct will lead to summarily rejection and cancellation of candidature and no correspondence will be entertained in this matter.
- Candidates to note that all relevant certificates of education i.e .10th Pass & ITI trade certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT with mark sheets, SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-SM etc. are to be uploaded with online application form. Original Certificates are not to be sent to MCF.
- The Railway Administration do not undertake any responsibility for sending reply to the candidates not called for. No correspondence in respect of the application submitted shall be entertained or replied by this office to any individual or organization.

Vacancy Notice 110 Trade Apprentice Vacancy – Modern Coach Factory ,Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh)
- In 2007, Indian Railways decided to set up it’s third railway passenger coaches manufacturing unit in Lalganj, distt Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh. Foundation stone was laid in 2007 and construction work started in 2009. In Dec 2015, it was named as Modern Coach Factory. It was planned at a total cost of Rs 3,192 Crore, with annual production capacity of 1000 coaches. MCF is located around 3 km away from Lalganj on Kanpur-Raebareli road (85 km from Lucknow).
- The first completely in-house manufactured coach was turned out in August 2014. Since then, MCF has almost doubled it’s production year by year, starting from 140 coaches in 2014-15, to 285 coaches in 2015-16, then 576 coaches in 2016-17 and first time achieving the given production target of 710 coaches by manufacturing 711 coaches in 2017-18 ,MCF has turned out 1425 coaches in 2018-19 against a target of 1422 coaches.
- Besides manufacturing stainless steel LHB coaches , as the name suggests, MCF is taking up new challenges of manufacturing modern day coach design, including train sets, metro coaches, aluminum body coaches, bullet train coaches and high speed coaches to meet upcoming demands.
- MCF is certified to international standards for Quality Management, Environment Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Energy Management, Laboratory and Testing. MCF is also the first unit of Indian Railways to get IRIS (International Railway Industries Standard) certification (ISO 22163: 2017) for manufacture and design of rolling stock. In May 2019, MCF also became the first factory (Production Unit/Workshop) of Indian Railways to get rating of Green Co. Platinum (CII Certified Green Company Platinum Rating).
- The factory has come up on a total area of 541 hectares of land of which 283 was acquired from private parties.The factory was constructed by the IRCON International Limited. 1450 jobs are to be given to families that were affected by the land acquisition besides the compensation package and the Lucknow Division of the Northern Railways is expected to generate another 1000 job opportunities as a result of the factory becoming operational.The factory adheres to stringent pollution control norms for curbing air pollution and spillage of oils and employs fume and sewage neutralisation systems.
