B.E/ B.Tech /ME /M.Tech with minimum 55% marks or equivalent Grade,Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering with minimum 55 % marks or equivalent grade/ITI Trade in Electronics.

General Conditions:
- Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research, Centre for Electromagnetics (SAMEER-CEM), Chennai, an autonomous scientific institute of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, is a premier Research & Development institution of the Government of India and its headquarters is at Mumbai. Its main objective is to promote the growth of Science and Technology in the areas of Microwave Electronics, Electromagnetics and its allied areas. Other centers of SAMEER are located at Kolkata, Vishakhapatnam and Guwahati.
- SAMEER- CEM, Chennai is looking for young and dynamic professionals for its ongoing projects in contract positions on consolidated salary. The tenure will be for two years or end of the project whichever is earlier.
- The candidates who are meeting the prescribed essential qualification and discipline norms as on advertisement date only need to register for the written test and interview.
- The above posts carry consolidated pay and appointment will be purely on contract basis.
- Age limit:Project Associate: 25 years for fresher and 35 years for experienced, Project Assistants: 25 years,Project Technicians: 30 years,(Age relaxaon will be considered for experienced candidates)
- The contract appointment shall not confer any right for regularizaon / absorpon or connuaon of service in SAMEER.
- The persons selected for contract appointment will not have any claim or right for his / her connuity in service or automac extension of the term of contract.
- Candidates may have to appear for a wrien objecve type of quesons test.
- No TA / DA will be paid to candidates for appearing for the wrien test / interview. Candidates should make their own arrangements for their travel/stay at Chennai.

- SAMEER was set up as an autonomous R & D laboratory at Mumbai under the then Department of Electronics, Government of India with a broad mandate to undertake R & D work in the areas of Microwave Engineering and Electromagnetic Engineering Technology. It is an offshoot of the special microwave products unit (SMPU) set up in 1977 at the TATA INSTITUTE OF FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH (TIFR), Mumbai. SAMEER, Mumbai was setup in 1984.
The centre of Electromagnetics, Chennai of the then Department of Electronics (DOE) was merged with SAMEER in 1987. - SAMEER Kolkata centre was set up in 1994 for research & Development in Millimetrewave Technology.
- A new centre is being established at Navi Mumbai campus of SAMEER for augmentation of EMI/EMC FACILITY for CE Marking of Electronics products.
- To achieve excellence in application oriented research in the areas of Microwave /RF Electronics and Electromagnetics.
