General Instruction:
- Candidates are advised to carefully read the full advertisement for details of educational qualification and other eligibility criteria.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates appearing for written test shall be reimbursed 2 nd class rail/bus fare by the shortest route on production of ticket, provided the distance travelled from the mailing address to the venue of Test exceeds 60 KM both ways.
- One candidate can apply for one course only, failing which her candidature shall be summarily rejected.
- For claiming the benefit of OBCNCL category, the candidate should submit a latest caste certificate in the proforma prescribed by Govt. of India, which would, among others, specifically mention that the candidate does not belong to the persons/sections (creamy layer) as mentioned in column 3 of the schedule to the Department of Personnel & Training in the Government of India OM No. 36012/22/93-Estt. (SCT) dated 8.9.1993. Candidates belonging to OBC category but falling in creamy layer are not entitled to OBCNCL reservation benefits. IOCL (AOD) being a Central Public Sector Undertaking, only those communities that are listed in the common list of OBC prepared by Central Government shall be treated as OBCNCL for the purpose of reservation.
- The candidates applying under PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) category are required to submit the Disability certificate issued by the competent authority in the format prescribed by Government of India for this purpose. The disability of the candidates applying under OH category will be disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria will be as per Indian Nursing council
guidelines for the above program. - Reservation in PwBD category will be extended on horizontal basis.
- The candidates seeking reservations under Digboi Legislative Constituency are required to produce Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC)/ Voter Identity card and no other document shall be considered as support document.
- The decision of the Management will be final and binding on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection, cancellation of the selection process etc.
- The Corporation will have no obligation to offer regular employment.
- Candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category are required to submit an Income & Asset Certificate issued by Competent Authority prescribed under point no 5 of the Department of Personnel & Training’s O.M. No 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019.
- At any stage of the selection processes or after selection if it is found that the candidate has furnished false or incorrect information then the candidature of the candidate or selection to the above course is liable to be terminated /cancelled.
- Candidates have to necessarily declare in case she has been arrested, prosecuted, kept under detention or fined, convicted by a Court of Law or for any offence debarred / disqualified by any Public Service Commission from appearing in its examination.

Selection Process:

- Selection would be based on online Written Test (120 minutes duration). Venue and time of the written test shall be mentioned in the call letter for written test.
- The candidate will have to pass successfully in the selection process (written test) i.e. candidate will have to acquire minimum 40% (relaxable by 5% for candidates from SC/ST/PwBD categories against reserved positions) in selection process for being suitable for engagement for selection to the above course.
- Obtaining minimum qualifying marks in the written test does not confer any right or claim by the candidate for being shortlisted for document verification or the final selection, as the same is based on candidate’s rank in the merit list on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test, number of seats, candidates meeting the notified eligibility criteria and documents found in order upon verification etc.
- Filling up of seats is solely at the discretion of the management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for engagement, if some of these seats are not filled due to unsuitability/insufficient in number of candidates.
- The decision of the Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection and cancellation of the selection process etc. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
- Only those candidates who are declared fit in medical examination as per IOCL, Assam Oil Division criteria shall be considered for engagement.
