General Information:
- Application giving particulars as per the prescribed format with a passport size photograph on the application at the space indicated with attested copies of certificates should be sent to the Director, National Institute of Biologicals (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare) A-32, Sector-62, Institutional Area Noida U.P. 201 309. The envelope containing the application form should be subscribed with
“Application for the post of ” . - The details of eligibility for each post, i.e., Age limit, Educational Qualification, Experience and other requirement are available on NIB website www.nib.gov.in.
- The post carries usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of corresponding status.
- The crucial date for determining age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates.
- The candidates possessing requisite qualification and experience for the post applied for will be required to appear for a written & skill test.
- Attested copies of the caste certificate as per the prescribed format of Govt. of India order shall be attached with the application.
- Those employed in Central and State Government Autonomous organization and Central & State Public Sectors undertaking/organization should apply through proper channel otherwise their application will not be considered.
- The prescribed application format is also available & can be downloaded from the website www.nib.gov.in.
- The candidates possessing requisite qualification and experience for the post applied will be required to appear for Written & Skill test.

- The National Institute of Biologicals (NIB) is an APEX autonomous Institute under the administrative control of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India engaged in Quality Control Evaluation of various biological products like vaccines, blood products, blood reagents, sera, Immuno-diagnostic kits etc. produced and imported in to India. The Institute is spread over an area of 18.4 acres of land with various buildings have already been constructed in the Campus. It was set up in 1992 as a society (vide No. S-22590) under the Societies Registration Act 1860, for Quality Control of indigenously produced and imported biological products. Initially financial assistance in setting up the institute was provided by USAID and OECF – Japan.
- He is a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. He is an MBBS (Gold Medalist) from Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana (Punjab University Chandigarh). He joined Indian Administrative Service in 2001 and belongs to Jammu & Kashmir Cadre. He has served in various capacities including Deputy Commissioner in Districts of Jammu and Leh, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Katra and Secretary to the Government of J&K Department of Health & Medical Education, Government of J&K and Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Division.
- The decision making process of the Institute is through the General Body, Governing Body and the Standing Finance Committee.The General Body is the supreme policy making body and the appellate authority of the Institute.The Governing Body is entrusted with management of the affairs of the Institute.
- He has been working as Joint Secretary in Ministry of Health & Family Welfare(MOHFW) since September, 2018. At present his brief duties include: Implementation of Drugs and Cosmetics Act (Strengthening of State Regulatory System), Strengthening of Food Regulatory System, Issues concerning Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Central Drugs Standard Control Organization, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, National Institute of Biologicals. He is also looking after internal administration of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and administrative issues HLL Lifecare Ltd., the Public Sector Enterprise of MoHFW. He received Jammu & Kashmir State award for meritorious public service in 2017.
