General Information:
- KENDRA PROJECT Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following vacant posts under plan scheme at ICAR- K.H. Patil Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hulkoti, Gadag District, Karnataka State funded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.

- Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) vacancy is anticipated from June, 2021.
- The last date for receipt of application is 11-01-2021. If the last date happens to be closed holiday, the next working day will be taken as crucial last date. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of application from candidates.
- Agricultural Science Foundation reserves the right to fill up the post or cancel the advertisement.
- The Posts are Non-Governmental under Agricultural Science Foundation.

Vacancy Notice 02 Subject Matter Specialist Vacancy – KHPKVK,Karnataka
- Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is a project supported by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Department of Agricultural Research and Education under Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. The project is being implemented by an Non Government Organisation named Agricultural Science Foundation since 1985. KVK is located in Hulkoti village of Gadag district in Karnataka State.
- The overall mandate of the KVK is to develop and disseminate location specific technological modules at district level through Technology Assessment, Refinement and Demonstration and to act as Knowledge and Resource Centre for agriculture and its allied activities. The specific activites to carry out this mandate are:
- Conducting on-farm testing to identify the location specificity of agricultural technologies under various farming systems.
- Organising frontline demonstration to establish production potential of various crops and enterprises on the farmers’ fields.
- Organising need based training of farmers to update their knowledge and skills in modern agricultural technologies related to technology assessment, refinement and demonstration, and training of extension personnel to orient them in the frontier areas of technology development.
Creating awareness about improved technologies to larger masses through appropriate extension programmes. - Production and supply of good quality seeds and planting materials, livestock, poultry and fisheries breeds and products and various bio-products to the farming community.
- Work as resource and knowledge centre of agricultural technology for supporting initiatives of public, private and voluntary sector for improving the agricultural economy of the district.
- KVK has a well developed administrative building with an area of 8500sqft having Office, Class rooms, Staff rooms, Laboratory and Seminar hall.
- KVK has well equipped farmers hostel (5500 sqft) that can accommodate 120 farmers at a time. It has four Dormitories, Kitchen, Dining hall and Recreation hall.
- KVK has 20 Ha of land wherein farm trials and seed production of the crops grown in the district are taken up. Many models on alternate land use system are laid out to mitigate the frequent droughts.
