General Conditions:

  • The Centre for Management Development (CMD) on behalf of the National Health Mission (NHM) ¬Kerala invites applications from eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the post of Mid Level Service Providers (Staff Nurses) in all fourteen districts of National Health Mission.
  • The applicants are required to go through the detailed notification carefully and decide themselves about their eligibility for this recruitment before applying and enter the particulars completely online through www.cmdkerala.net.
  • Selection will be based on qualification, experience and performance in the interview.
  • Applicants shall pay an amount of Rs. 325/- (Rupees Three Hundred Twenty Five only) plus transaction charges online as examination fee. It is advised to check the eligibility before making the payment.
  • NHM / CMD is not responsible for any discrepancy in submitting the application through online.
  • Applicants must compulsorily fill up all relevant fields of applications and submit application through online.
  • Incomplete / incorrect application form will be summarily rejected. CMD/ NHM under any circumstances will not entertain the information, if any, furnished by the applicant subsequently. Applicants should be careful in filling up the application form at the time of submission.
  • District-wise selection is being conducted. An applicant should apply only for one district of his/her choice.
  • If any lapse is detected during the scrutiny, the candidature will be rejected even though he / she comes through the final stage of recruitment process or even at a later stage.
  • The applicant should not furnish any false, tampered, fabricated information or suppress any material information while filling up the application form. If the particulars furnished in the online application form do not tally with the original documents produced by the applicants his / her application will be rejected.
  • NHM reserves the right to fill or not fill the post advertised.
  • Applicants should have a valid personal email ID and mobile no., which should be kept active till the completion of this Recruitment Process. CMD / NHM may send intimation to download call letters for written test through the registered email ID. In case an applicant does not have a valid personal email ID, he / she should create his / her new email ID and mobile no. before applying online and must maintain that email account and mobile number.
  • The copy of the Appointment letters, Salary certificates, pay slips etc. will not be accepted in lieu of work experience certificate.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification. Candidates are advised to desist from such unholy practices.
  • All MLSPs will be given training for a period of 4 months. Only on successful completion of training, the individual will be eligible for posting in NHM as Mid Level Service Provider (MLSP).
  • The appointment of Mid Level Service Providers (MLSP) will be subject to the final decision in the WP ( C) No. 24617 of 2020.

The people are now facing the problem of high morbidity both from re-emergence of communicable diseases and the second generation problems like the ageing population and non communicable diseases. Moreover, there remains the challenge of sustaining the privileged health indicators. Further, improving the quality of health care where the health seeking behaviour is very high is of utmost importance. The resources of National Rural Health Mission came in an opportune time when the state was finding it difficult to find resources matching the demand.During the last three years the State has been able to initiate many programmes suiting to its specific requirements and considering its health issues that need immediate intervention. These initiatives correspond to the Key Performance areas outlined by NRHM like a) Institutional Strengthening b)Improving access to better health care and quality services and c) Accessibility of health care to the under privileged and marginalised
  • The Goal of the Mission is to improve the availability of and access to quality health care by people, especially for those residing in rural areas, the poor, women and children.
  • Reduction in Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality
    Ratio (MMR)
    Universal access to public health services such as Women’s health, child health, water, sanitation & hygiene, immunization, and Nutrition.
    Prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases, including locally endemic diseases
    Access to integrated comprehensive primary healthcare
    Population stabilization, gender and demographic balance
    Revitalize local health traditions and mainstream AYUSH
    Promotion of healthy life styles
  • At the State level, the Mission functions under the overall guidance of the State Health Mission (SHM) headed by the Hon:ble Chief Minister of Kerala. The State Health & Family Welfare Society (SH&FWS) would carry the functions under the Mission. The Governing Body of the SH&FWS is headed by the Hon:ble Minister for Health and the Executive Committee of SH&FWS by the Additional Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary / Secretary (Health & Family Welfare)
  • Every district will have a District Health & Family Welfare Society (DH&FWS). The Governing Body of the District Health Mission (DHM) is be headed by Chair Person, District Panchayat. The Executive Committee of the District Health Mission (DHM) is be headed by the District Collector.
  • The State Program Management Unit (SPMU) acts as the main secretariat of the SH& FWS. The constitution and functioning of the SPMU and Executive Committee of the SH&FWS shall be such that there is no hiatus between the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare services and the SPMU.
