- The Applications in prescribed form from eligible candidates are invited by the Director General of Police, Government of Goa, Police Headquarters, Panaji-Goa lbr tilling up of the below mentioned vacant posts by direct recruitment in Goa Police Department:-
- Persons who have represented a State or the Country in the National or International competition in any of the Games/Sports listed below.
- Persons who have represented their University in the inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board in any of these Carnes.
- Persons who have represented the State School Teams in the National Sports/Games for School conducted by the All India School Games Federation in any of these Gamcs/Sports.
- Persons who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive.
- Archery, Athieties(including Track and Field events) Atya-Patya, Badminton, Ball-Badminton, Basketball, Billiards and Snooker, Boxing, Bridge, Carrom, Chess, Cricket, Cycling, Equestrian Sports, Football, Golf, Gymnastics including Body-Building), Handball, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Karaite-DO, Kayaking and Canoeing, Polo, Kho-idiot Powerlifting, Rifle Shooting, Roller Skating, Rowing, Softball, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tackwondo, Tennik.oit, Tennis, Volleyball, Weight-lifting, Wrestling, Yatching, Ice-skiing, Ice-Hockey and lee-skating.
- The candidates possessing the above mentioned qualifications/documents as on
30.04,2021 and possessing 15 years Residence Certificate (valid) issued by the Competent Authority, Government of Goa, may Submit their Applications in the prescribed Application Form at the counter opened to accept the application forms at the Police Headquarters, Panaji-Goa. The prescribed Application Forms are available at the Administrative Block, GRP Camp, Altinho, Panaji-Goa, which can be collected between 10:00 hours to 17:00 hours on all working days by producing the Caste/Cutegory Certificate. - The Application Form and Examination Fee for various categories of candidates is as under, The Application Form and Examination Fee paid by the candidate is not refundable:- L General Category’ 2. - The Application Forms completed in all respects should be personally submitted by the candidate at the counter opened to accept the Application Forms at Police Headquarters, Panaji-Goa between 10:00 hours to 17:00 hours on all working days, on or before 30.04.2021. The candidates should produce Passing Certificate of the educational qualification prescribed for the post (not mark list) and Caste/Category Certificate (valid) at the counter while submitting the application form for Iprerification without which application form will not be accepted. lrico.mplete Application Forms, Application Forms received after 30.04_2021 and Applications not in prescribed Form will be summarily rejected and no intimation will be sent to the applicants in this regard. The candidates should minutely go through all the provisions in the advertisement to =toe that he/she is eligible for the posts in terms of requirement of age, educational qualification etc. and only eligible candidates may apply in the. prescribed Application Form,
- The candidates working in Government Departments/Offices should apply through proper channel in prescribed Application Form only. These Application Forms should also be submitted at the counter opened to accept the Application Forms at Police Headquarters, Panaji-Goa on or before 30,04.2021, The Application Forms received after 30.04.2021 will he summarily rejected and no intimation will be sent to the applicants in this regard.
- No certifteatealdocuments are required to be attached with Application Form by the candidate. However, the candidature of shortlisted candidate shall not be considered, if he/she is found ineligible at the time or verification of essential documents, even though has passed the examination. During the selection process, verification of original certificates/documents will be done. The candidates will have to produce requisite original and valid certificates/documents such as Birth Certificate. passing certificates of educational qualifications, mark sheet, Valid Residence Certificate, Valid Caste/Category Certificate, Valid Labour 84 Employment Card etc. before the Recruitment Boards, Original certificates/documents will be checked and only eligible candidates will be permitted to the next stage of recruitment process. The candidates who fail to produce the. requisite original and valid certificates/documents will be eliminated from the recruitment process.
- The candidates who qualify in the documents verification for the posts of Laboratory Technician will be subjected to Written Examination of Science Graduation level on subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, I’vlicrobioloa and Biochemistry of 100 marks and 02 hours duration.
- The candidates for the posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Wireless Operator) who qualify in the documents verification will be subjected to the Written Examination of the Trade of Diploma Level o f 100 marks and 02 hours duration.
- The candidates for the post of Photographer who qualify in the documents verification will be subjected to Written Examination of the Trade of 100 marks and 02 hours duration..

- The Goa Police is the law enforcement agency for the state of Goa in India.
- The Goa Police operates under direct control of the Department of Home Affairs, Government of Goa. It is headed by the Director General of Police (DGP), Shri Mukesh Kumar Meena, IPS of the 1989 AGMUT Cadre batch. He was first posted in Goa in 1992-93 as the sub divisional police officer (SDPO), Ponda.
- The Goa Police was established in 1966 after the transfer of authority over Goa from the Indian military administration to the civil administration. It replaced the former Portuguese administration’s Polícia do Estado da Índia (State of India Police), disbanded after the annexation of Goa by India in 1961.
- Until 1946, the police services in Portuguese India were provided by the military gendarmerie force Corpo de Polícia e Fiscalização da Índia (CPFI, India Inspection and Police Corps). In that year, the CPFI was substituted by the civil police force Corpo de Polícia do Estado da Índia (State of India Police Corps), modeled after the Portuguese Public Security Police.The Polícia do Estado da Índia included the public security, judiciary police, transit police, administrative police and civil identification branches.
- Besides this corps, in Portuguese India also existed the Guarda Fiscal (Fiscal Guard) under the dependency of the Customs Bureau and the Guarda Rural (Rural Guard) under the dependency of the agriculture services.
