General Information:
- The categories of PWDs are (i) Locomotive Disabilities and (ii) Hearing impaired. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disability shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation. The candidate should be in the possession of Disability Certificate in prescribed Form issued by the competent Authority in this regard.
- The Eligible Age, Scheme of Examination, Mode of Selection, Examination Fee structure, documents to be submitted etc. will remain the same as in earlier notification.
- The number of posts may be increased or decreased as per decision of the Government.
- The willing and eligible candidates should get their names sponsored by the concerned Employment Exchange offices. The sponsored candidates should download the application form from the State government website (http//:manipur.gov.in). The completed application forms along with the required self-attested copies of certificates should be submitted on every working day between 11:00 AM-5:00 PM from 19th April to 22nd
May, 2021 at the of of Manipur State Transport (MST) Complex, Moirangkhom, Imphal West. The
last date /time for acceptance of duly completed application form along with relevant documents will be 5.00 P.M of 22nd May, 2021, after which no forms shall be accepted. Only those applications duly sponsored by the respective District Employment Exchanges Office shall be accepted. - The application fee may be paid either in cash at the cash counter or online* to the following account No.
- The Date of requisition from Employment Exchange (in addition to the earlier notification) will be 16th April, 2021.
- Last Date of requisition from Employment Exchange will be 20th May, 2021.
- The Dates for Driving Test (for drivers), Physical Test (for SI & ASI Enforcement, Checkers), Written Test and Computer Test shall be notified later.
- Submission of application form does not imply that candidate has fulfilled all criteria given in the advertisement and application is subject to subsequent scrutiny and the application can be rejected at any subsequent point of time, if any ineligibility condition is detected at any point of time.
- The decision of the Transport Department in all matters relating to acceptance/rejection of the applications, mode of selection, and conduct of examination and allotment of examination centres, selection and allotment of posts to selected candidates will be final and no enquiry/correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
- The Transport Department deserves the right to cancel the advertisement/notification, any other terms and conditions at any stage.

- The Transport Department deals with the subject matter relating primarily to Road Transport. The Department administers the Motor Vehicles Taxation Act and Rules made thereunder. The Department also controls, supervises and regulates the working and functioning of the various bodies under the Department. These bodies are the State Transport Authority and the Regional Transport Authorities. There is also a Corporation under the Transport Department namely Manipur Transport Corporation which was constituted under the Road Transport Act, 1950. It is a major revenue earning department and has also an important and significant role to play in the matter of rationalisation, development and improvement of Public Surface Transport System.
- Transport Department is responsible for administering, regulating and controlling Motor Vehicles in accordance with the provisions of the Central Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. It also enforces Acts and Rules under the Manipur Motor Vehicles Taxation Act (Assam Act IX of 1936 as adapted and as amended by Manipur) and ManipurMotor Vehicles Taxation Rules (Assam Rules of 1936 as adapted and as amended by Manipur).
- The main activity of the Transport Department is to administer, regulate and control Motor Vehicles by way of registration of vehicles, issue of Driving Licenses and Conductor Licenses, granting of Road Permits for transport vehicles and in fostering and nurturing the development and growth of Road Transport Services in the State and to collect revenue from Motor Vehicle Tax, etc. Providing Pool Cars for use by VIPs, Ministers, State Guests and Dignitaries is another important activity of the Department.
