Applications are invited for the positions available in India Meteorological Department for engaging Senior Research Fellows to work on different R&D programmers in the field of Meteorology/Agricultural and its allied subjects on Project Mode (Contract basis). The posts are purely on contract, till 31st March 2018 or coterminous with the project. However, the posts are likely to be continued. There is no provision for re-employment after termination of the project. The selected candidates will be evaluated on year to year basis and extension will be granted only on
satisfactory progress/performance after each year. The details of the posts are given below:

No. of Vacancy: 14 posts
Pay Scale: Rs.28000/- (per month)
Educational Qualification: M.Sc in Meteorology/Environmental science or M.Sc (Agriculture) in (Agricultural Meteorology/ Agricultural Physics/Agronomy/Soil Sciences/ Agricultural Statistics), M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering/Environmental Sciences/Remote sensing & GIS/Computer science from a recognized University.

Conditions:
- Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible.
- Age Limit:Â The candidate should not exceed 28 years for Senior Research Fellows as on 1st July, 2017. The age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC is as per GOI Rules.
- Reservation: As per GOI Rules. However being a contract position, if such candidates are not available, the same may be treated as unreserved. Place of posting: – The posting of the thirteen candidates is at New Delhi and one at Pune but will be transferable to any place in India depending on exigencies of service.
- Selection Procedure: Walk in interview will be held on 30/10/2017 at 1100 hrs. The candidates are to report at 1000 hrs at the address given below.
- No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview.
- Note: Candidate should not have any type of conviction in the court anywhere in India.

- The candidates must not apply for more than one post.
- Duly filled in Application Form (downloadable) as per the Proforma should be submitted at the time of interview.
- Copies of certificates (duly attested by a Gazetted Officer) in support of educational qualification (10th Class on wards), date of birth and experience, if any, should be attached with the application.
- Applicants are also required to bring original certificates/documents for verification at the time of interview.
- SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable, as per the prescribed format, should be attached with the application.
- The number of posts to be filled may vary. The Department reserves the right to cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason.
