General Information:
- CANDIDATES IN THEIR OWN INTEREST ARE ADVISED TO GO THROUGH THE DETAILED) INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS NOTICE.
- Candidates seeking for reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice.
- List of Documents: The following documents in original and self attested photocopies in support of the candidate’s eligibility and identity are to be produced invariably at the time of Typing Test failing which the candidate may not be permitted to appear in further examinations. Non submission of requisite documents by the candidate at the time of Typing Test will debar his candidature from further participation in the recruitment process.(a) Printout of Admit Card (b) Class X Certificate (as proof of Date of Birth) (c) Photo bearing IDENTITY PROOF as indicated in Para No. 8 of the important instructions to Candidates given below.(d) Certificate of Graduation (as proof of Minimum Qualification) (e) Certificates of other Qualification(s) f) 2 (two) passport sized photographs (as uploaded at the time of online application forlorn submission).(g) SC/ST/OBC Certificates issued by competent authority for those candidates seeking reservation.(h) No objection Certificate issued before the last date of Online Application Form Submission for those candidates who are in Government Service.
- Applicants are advised to go through the steps in “HOW TO APPLY” (At steps are mandatory) and fill up their application form correctly, properly and completely, otherwise their applications will not be accepted.
- The Computer Typing Test will be conducted for those candidates who qualify in the Written Examination. The maximum number of candidates, who will be declared qualified for computer typing test, will be at the ratio 1:5 of the total number of vacancies. Candidates should have net typing speed of 35 words per minute as minimum speed. Computer typing test is only of qualifying nature.
- Those candidates who qualify in the Computer Typing Test will be called for viva voice/interview.
- Provided that the maximum number of candidates, who will be called for interview, will be at the ratio of 1:3 of the total number of vacancies.
- The date of Examination(s), Center of Examination will be indicated in the Admit Card.
- Candidates must carry at least one photo bearing IDENTITY PROOF in original such as Driving Licence, Voter ID Card, Aadhaar Card, identity Card issued by University/College, income Tax PAN Card to the examination center, failing which THEY SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR FOR THE EXAMINATION.
- All types of electronic gadgets including mobile phones, pagers etc. are not allowed inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations .
- Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers etc. to the venue of examination as arrangement for safe-keeping of the same cannot be assured. The High Court of Manipur will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
- In case of any dispute, decision of the High Court will be final.

About Us:
- On re-organization of the North-Eastern region by the North Eastern Area (Re-organization) Act, 1971, a common High Court was established for the five North-Eastern States namely; Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura and the two Union Territories namely Union Territory of Mizoram and the Union Territory of Arunachal Pradesh and called as the Gauhati High Court. Thereafter, when Manipur attained Statehood, Imphal Bench of the Gauhati High Court came into existence on Friday, the 21st day of January 1972.
- In exercise of the power conferred by Sub-section (2) of Section 31 of the North Eastern Areas (Re-organisation) Act, 1971, His Excellency, the President of India was pleased to establish the Permanent Bench of the Gauhati High Court at Imphal, vide Gauhati High Court (Establishment of Permanent Bench at Imphal) order dated 21st January, 1992. Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India, Hon’ble Mr. Justice M. H. Kania inaugurated the Permanent Bench at Imphal on Saturday, the 14th day of March, 1992 in the presence of the Governor of Manipur, His Excellency Mr. Chintamani Panigrahi and Hon’ble the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Mr. Justice U.L. Bhat.
- the 30th day of April, 2006, the Foundation Stone for the new building of High Court at Mantripukhri, was laid by Hon’ble Shri Justice Y.K.Sabharwal, the then Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, in the august presence of Shri O.Ibobi Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur, Hon’ble Shri Justice H.K.Sema & Hon’ble Shri Justice P.P.Naolekar, Judges of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, Hon’ble Shri Justice B.Sudershan Reddy, Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court and his Lordships collegues and Shri Th.Debendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Law, Govt. of Manipur and host of VIPs. On completion, the newly constructed High Court Building at Mantripukhri was inaugurated by Dr.Manmohan Singh, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and Smt.Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson, UPA on Saturday, the 3rd day of December, 2011 in the august presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur Shri O.Ibobi Singh, Shri Salman Khurshid, Hon’ble Union Minister for Law & Justice, Hon’ble the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Shri A.K.Goel.
- Later, functioning of the Imphal Permanent Bench at the new Complex was inaugurated on Saturday, the 7th day of April, 2012, by Hon’ble Shri Justice Altamas Kabir, Seniormost Judge of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the august presence of Shri O.Ibobi Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur, Hon’ble Justice A.K.Patnaik, Hon’ble Smti. Justice Gyan Sudha Misra and Hon’ble Mr.Justice Jasti Chelameswar Judges of the Supreme Court of India and Hon’ble the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Shri A.K.Goel, Hon’ble the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court Shri Justice Madan B. Lokur, Hon’ble Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Shri Th.Lokeshwor Singh, Hon’ble Madam Justice Manjula Chellur, Chief Justice (Acting) of Kerala High Court, Justice H.K.Sema, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and host of Hon’ble Judges of the Gauhati High Court and other VIPs.
