General Information:
- Applications are invited on the prescribed format (Annexure- I ) along with attested copies of certificates forthe position of Field Investigator on purely contractual basis to work in rhe research project entitled “Estimation of production and utilization pattern of milk and milk proclucts in India” under the supervision of Dr. Shiv Raj Singh, Assistant Prof-essor. Department of AgricLrltural Economics, C.P. College of Agriculture, SDAU, S.K. Nagar, Gujarat. This project is a part of stLrdy offered by ICAR-NDRI to S.D. Agricultural University as “Cooperative Centre” for Western India.l’he
online irrterview will be conducted on29ll2l2020 online (link for online interview will be sharecl with each candidate on email). - Interested candidates are requested to appear fbr online interview via Google Meet link. on29.12.2020 at 10.00 am onwards.
- The application must be submitted in the given format (Annexure I) in soft copy (PDF format) to shivagritech200T(.Dsdau.edu.in latest by 26.12.2020 by 12.00 am.

- No TA/DA will be paid for separately for any work.
- The selected Field Investigator need to sign the contractual agreement with employer.

- The above mentioned posts are purely on temporary basis and post will be automatically terminated on completion of project. S.D. Agricultural University is not bound to provide any employment after completion of the project period.
- If the perforrnance of selected candidate is not found satisfactory or misconduct noticed, his/her services will be terminated without any prior notice even before the period for which he/she is engaged.
- Candidates with knowledge of data analysis in computer and data collection through suryey method will be given preference.
- Selected candidate has to do field survey work in Western India (Gujarat. Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Goa) as assigned by Co-Principal Investigator.
- The survey period comprises two visits i.e. December,2020 to January, 2021 and JuneJuly,2021and inlormation is to be collected from same respondents two times.
- During field survey interviewer is to collect information from dif.f-erent stakeholders like milk producer, consumer, milk vendor, dairy industry, creameries. halwai and commercial dairy farm.
- The Field Investigator will be paid Rs. 200 per respondent survey for the two visits of each respondent and the payment will be made after completion of each visit satisfactorily.

- The Government of Gujarat had established the Gujarat Agricultural University in the state vide Gujarat Act, No. 13 of 1969. The Government of Gujarat repealed Gujarat Agricultural University Act, 1969 and promulgated GAUs Act, No. 5 of 2004. Accordingly, Four State Agricultural Universities have been carved out from erstwhile GAU, S. D. Agricultural University being one of them.
- The jurisdiction of S. D. Agricultural University is Seven Districts of North Gujarat region viz., Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Patan, Gandhinagar, Kachchh and Aravalli. SDAU is established for the better development of Agriculture and allied sectors in the North Gujarat Agro-climatic Zone. The SDAU is aimed to serve the agricultural interest for the economic development of the farming community of North Gujarat region. S. D. Agricultural University has 8 colleges, 28 Research Stations and 3 KVKs in the jurisdiction.
- The Gujarat Agricultural University started functioning in June 1972. It was established with specific mandates of promoting productivity of agriculture by pursuing research in agriculture and allied sciences. The unique feature of the Gujarat Agricultural University was a multi-campus set-up. The other three campuses were at Junagadh, Navsari and Anand.
- Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University was founded as one of the prestigious State Agricultural Universities in India.
Since 2004, the GAU was split into four campuses. The Gujarat Agricultural University started functioning with specific mandates for promoting productivity of agriculture through the pursuance of research in agriculture and allied sciences. The Gujarat Agricultural University had 11 constituent colleges faculties which undertook undergraduate and postgraduate teaching under a semester system. - The total number of students who have graduated from the Gujarat Agricultural University (until 1996) were 8532 in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Renewable Energy & Environmental Engineering, Dairy Science, Basic Science and HumanitiesAgricultural Engineering, Horticulture and Forestry, Home Science and Fisheries. 2159 students have obtained Masters, and 393 have acquired their PhD degrees.
