General Condition:
- No.CELL-1016/2/2020-RD and PR-RD&PR:Applications in the prescribed format are invited from intending candidates for appointment of Ombudsman in respect of 13 (thirteen) districts of Manipur viz. Thoubal, Kakching, Chandel, Noney, Imphal East, Jiribam, Imphal West, Tamenglong, Noney, Senapati, Kangpokpi, Pherzawl and Churachandpur districts for redressal of grievances and disposal of complaints relatingm to implementation of NREG Act 2005 and Schemes under the Act made by the State. The eligibility criteria viz. essential qualification, experience, sitting allowances etc. are given against the post.
- Eminent standing and impeccable integrity at least 10 (ten) years of experience in administration, law, academics, social work or management. Experience in working with people or community organisation is a mandatory qualification
- Should not be a member of a recognized political party or a banned organization.Applications are required to file a declaration to this effect along with application.
- Must be physically active and capable of conducting field tours, inspections and visits to remote rural location in the districts.
- The tenure of the engagement will be 2 (two) years that may be extended twice by 1 (one) year each based on performance appraisal or till the incumbent attains the age of 68 years whichever is earlier. There shall be no re-appointment.
- There shall be no written test/examination or interview and the selection will based on the internal marking system evolved by the Selection Committee to rank persons in order of preference.
- Preference may be given to persons residing in the same district or neighboring district so as to take advantage of his/her first hand knowledge about the district.
- The application form may be downloaded from www.manipur.gov.in or from the Office of the State MGNREGS Cell and the duly filled in application along with two passport size photographs and relevant documents may be submitted to the office of the State MGNREGA Cell, Secretariat Rural Development, Room No. 125/04, New Secretariat Complex during office hours latest by 5th February, 2021.
