Relaxation of upper age limit for Departmental Candidates for all faculty positions is as per the Norms for appointment by DirectRecruitment.

- The character of a person for direct recruitment to the service must be such as to render him/her suitable in all respect for appointment to the service. No. 36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 8.9.1993 and modified vide DoPT’s O.M. No. 36033/3/2004-Estt.(Res) dated 9.3.2004, subsequently revised vide O.M. No.36033/3/2004-Estt.(Res) dated 14.10.2008. The Caste Certificate must be in the format as prescribed by the Govt. of India vide OM No. 36036/2/2013- Estt (Res.) dated 30/05/2014.

- National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is a national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an ‘Institute of National Importance’.
- National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER – Raebareli) is an autonomous body which has been established under the aegis of the Department of pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, in the Government of India, to provide leadership in pharmaceutical Sciences and other related areas. It admits students for M.S (Pharm), programmes in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology & Toxicology and Regulatory Toxicology every year. Ph.D programmes in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology & Toxicology started from 2017.
- The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa.
