General Conditions:
- THDC India Limited, A mini Ranta Schedule “A” Company, invites application from eligible candidates who are domicile of Uttarakhand for undergoing one year Apprenticeship Training under Apprentice Act. 1961, as amended from time to time in the trades mentioned below at our VPHEP, Pipalkoti location.
- Age limit: The minimum age limit is 18 year and the maximum age limit is 30 years as on closing date (Relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST & 03 years for OBC (None Creamy Layer) & 10 years for 40% PWD candidates (VH/OH/HH) in their category.
- Stipend: As per provisions of Apprentice Act. 1961. At present, the applicable rate of stipend is Rs. 7,000/- per month.
- Training Duration: One Year.
- The defined seats of reservation for SC, ST will be as per norms. Reservation for OBC and PH candidates will be given as per the norms of Uttarakhand Government.
- Preference will be given for candidates from project affected families (PAF) and project affected areas (PAA) of Pipalkoti.
- Only candidates who are domicile of Uttarakhnad are eligible to apply.
- Candidates should be eligible with respect to age criteria and educational qualification as on closing date. Candidates whose results are awaited need not apply.
- Employment in THDCIL: No Employment will be given after the completion of apprenticeship training by THDCIL.
- Candidates will have to make their own arrangements for stay.
- The candidates who after completion of their education have undergone apprentice training in any organization shall not be considered eligible for apprentice training.
- there will be no interview, the eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit drawn on the basis of marks obtained n respective trade i.e. ITI examination. (in case the marks obtained by the candidates are same, then candidate of higher age will be given preference).
- Application is to be submitted along with the self attested copes to following documents.
- SSC/Matriculation Marks sheet and Certificate.
- ITI marks sheet with Certificate.
- Proof of date of birth
- Caste Certificate, if applicable
- Certificate of physical Disability/PH, if applicable
- Character Certificate
- Certificate of Project Affected Family/project affected area.
- Aadhar card (mandatory)
- Registration Number-Printout of registration number generated on www.apprenticeshipindia.org. portal.
- Candidate have to submit Medical Fitness Certificate obtained from Medical Officer (Gazetted).
- Those candidates who have successfully completed ITI (Regular) in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 are only eligible for apprenticeship Training. Candidates whose results are awaited will not be eligible for applying for apprenticeship training.
- The selection and deployment of apprentice trainees will be subjected to detailed provisions.
- Candidates may kindly ensure that they possess required qualification for the apprenticeship training, if at any time of joining or after joining apprentices training it is found that candidates have submitted wrong information or the documents submitted are not true, then the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled without giving any reason.
- Management reserves the right for amendment/rescheduling/termination/suspension of selection process without giving any reason.
- No communication will be done with the candidates who have not been selected.
- Corrigendum /Modification/updation related to selection process will be made available in the recruitment section of THDCIL website: www.thdc.co.in No information in the regard will be given or will be published in news paper or through any other medium.
- Candidates are advised to check the website regularly for updates related to the engagement of Apprenticeship Trainee in THDCIL.

- It is mandatory for candidates to first enroll themselves in the apprenticeship portal. www.apprenticeshipindia.org. and mention the number in the application, without registration number no candidates will be engaged as apprenticeship trainee.
- Please see www.apprenticeshipindia.orq. after enrollment in the website it is suggested in kindly take the printout of the registration number as received in your email, as it will be required while applying in THDCIL for apprenticeship training.

About Us:
- THDC India Limited, is a Public Sector Enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power (MoP), Government of India (GoI) and registered as a Public Limited Company in July-88 under the Companies Act, 1956. THDCIL was conferred ‘Mini Ratna–Category-I Status in Oct-09 and up-graded to Schedule ‘A’ PSU in July-10 by the Govt. of India.
- The Equity of company was earlier shared between Govt. of India and GoUP in the ratio of 75:25. Recently, the Share Purchase Agreement was executed between NTPC Limited and President of India on March 25, 2020, for acquisition of legal and beneficial ownership of equity held by the President of India in THDC India Limited which represents 74.496% of the total paid up share capital of THDCIL for an aggregate consideration of INR 7500 crore (Rupees Seven Thousand Five Hundred Crore only).
- The Authorized Share Capital of the Company is Rs. 4000 Cr. THDCIL started earning profits from first year (2006-07) of commercial operation of its maiden project i.e. Tehri HPP (1000 MW) and THDCIL is a consistently profit-making company since then.
- THDCIL was constituted with the sole objective to develop, operate & maintain the 2400 MW Tehri Hydro Power Complex and other Hydro projects. The 2400 MW Tehri Hydro Power Complex comprises of (1) Tehri Dam & HPP (1000 MW), (2) Koteshwar HEP (400 MW) and (3) Tehri PSP (1000 MW).
- The Memorandum of Association of the Company was last modified on 31st August 2010 to reflect the current business reality of projects outside Bhagirathi valley.
The article of Association of company has been amended on 14th Feb’2020 to incorporate new provisions which are required to be inserted due to amendment in Companies Act and Dematerialization of shares of the company.
