General Instruction:
- Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, an autonomous institute under the auspices of the Dept. of Atomic Energy, GoI, invites applications on e
Research Associates (RAs) in the various Divisions of the Institute. - The initial tenure of the selected RA will be (01) one year. After completion of the 1st year, the Institute, upon review of the academic performance, may consider extension for another year. In exceptional cases, the Institute may review academic performance and consider extension for
another year, i.e. for the 3rd year. There will be no extension beyond the 3rd year. - Associateship: (a) Rs. 47, 000/- PM for RA-1+HRA (b) Rs. 49,000/- PM for RA-2+HRA
- The Post Doctoral Fellows/RA may be fixed at one of the pay levels depending on qualifications and experience. The level at which a fellow will be placed will be decided by the interview committee/selection committee.
- Candidates with Ph.D degree in the field of Laser Spectroscopy, Atomic, Nuclear and High Energy Physics. Preference will be given to the candidates
with experience in instrumentation and accelerator based research - Candidates with specialization in any of the following areas: theoretical high energy physics, quantum field theory, quantum information, mathematical physics, nuclear astrophysics, string theory and gravity, and interface areas between these, are encouraged to apply. The applicant is expected to have significant research overlap with one or more of the faculty member(s) of the Theory Division. The applicant should have sufficient number of research publications in high quality scientific journals.
- Fresh PhD with working experience in mass spectrometry.

Only eligible candidates will be entertained, therefore candidates must make sure that they meet the concerned eligibility criteria.

- The Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) is an institution of basic research and training in physical and biophysical sciences located in Bidhannagar, Kolkata, India. The institute is named after the famous Indian physicist Meghnad Saha.
- Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) runs a yearly Summer Student Programme (SSP) in which students participate in research and developmental work under the supervision of a faculty or a research staff. This programme is normally offered from the middle of May to the middle of June (for 8 weeks). The selected students will get financial help and travel allowances as per the rules of the institute. Limited hostel facilities for the outstation candidates are available. The selection is based on the academic records of the students and letters of recommendation.
