General Instruction:
- Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL), is a schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of Government of India (Ministry of Railways). It is the most ambitious and one of the biggest project in infrastructure sector, set-up to build high capacity and high speed rail freight corridors along the golden quadrilateral and its diagonals. The first Phase comprises of construction of two dedicated freight corridors spanning Ludhiana-Delhi-Kolkata (Eastern DFC) and Mumbai-Delhi (Western DFC). At present the company has its Corporate Office at New Delhi and Field Units at Ambala, Meerut, Tundla (Agra), Prayagraj (East & West), Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nagar, Kolkata, Mumbai (North & South), Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Ajmer, Jaipur and Noida.
- Candidates appearing or awaiting results on the closing date of application are NOT eligible to apply.
- Where diploma is essential qualification for the posts as mentioned in para 2.2, candidates holding degree with minimum 60% marks in specified disciplines are also eligible to apply.
- For the post of Executive (Signal & Telecommunication), BCA & MCA would be considered as higher degrees to diploma in “Information Science and Technology/Computer Application/Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology”.
- The candidate must possess the ITI certificate in the relevant discipline for the post of Junior Executive except in the case of Junior Executive (Operations & BD) where graduation in any discipline is also eligible to apply.
- Diploma or degree will not be considered as higher qualification in place of ITI where ITI is mentioned as the essential educational qualification.
- The candidates applying for Junior Manager (Operations & BD) Post must have specialization in Marketing/Business Operation/Customer Relation/Finance. The specialization should be clearly mentioned in the degree/certificate. In case, it is not mentioned, the candidate must bring a certificate from the institute clearly stating that he has done his MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM/PGDM with specialization in Marketing/Business Operation/Customer Relation/Finance at the time of document verification/interview.
- The candidate should possess full time degree/diploma/ITI approved by UGC/AICTE; from a University/ Technical Boards incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as University
under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. - The institute awarding degree/diploma must be recognized either by UGC/Central/State Govt. or AICTE or Technical Boards/Universities established by Central/State Govt.
- The candidates having completed five year integrated courses of MBA after 10+2 with requisite specialization are also eligible to apply for the posts where MBA is the essential qualification.
- The applicant should possess the essential qualification as on the closing date of application i.e. 23.05.2021. The level of educational qualifications prescribed for the posts is ESSENTIAL. The candidates shall be required to produce Marks Sheets & Degree/Certificate, at the time of document
verification/interview. - Candidate must specifically indicate the percentage of marks obtained (calculated to the nearest two decimals) in the relevant column of the application form. Where percentage of marks is not awarded by the University but only CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same shall be converted into percentage in terms of conversion norms of university in this regard, besides indicating the CGPA/OGPA in the application form. Candidates will have to produce the certificate/document issued by the university evidencing conversion formula of university, when called for document verification/interview.
- Round off %age will not be acceptable under any circumstances for consideration for appointment. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%.
- The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category i.e. irrespective of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD/Ex-SM and no relaxation in the minimum T-Score is permissible.
- Candidates equal to 8 times the number of vacancies of Executive (Operations & BD) for each of the communities i.e. UR, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and EWS (including ExSM) shall be shortlisted for CBAT based on their performance in CBT.
- Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT for considering them for the post of Executive (Operations & BD). The CBAT shall have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi. There shall be no negative marking in CBAT.
- The final merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the CBAT, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in CBAT.
- Candidates are advised to visit website of RDSO (www.rdso.indianrailways.gov.in ->Directorates->Psycho Technical) for question patterns and other details of CBAT.
- Candidates are required to apply On-line through provided facility. No other means/mode of submission of applications will be accepted. Candidate submitting more than one application for same post code will be summarily rejected. Candidates should enter their Name, Father’s Name and Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation certificate only. - The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) corporation run by the Government of India’s Ministry of Railways to undertake planning, development, and mobilisation of financial resources and construction, maintenance and operation of the “Dedicated Freight Corridors” (DFC). The DFCCIL was registered as a company under the Companies Act 1956 in 2006.
- First 2 DFCs , Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), from Uttar Pradesh to Mumbai and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC), Ludhiana in Punjab to Dankuni in West Bengal, which will decongest railway network by moving 70% of India’s goods train to these two corridors, are both on track for completion by June 2022. 99% required land for these two have been acquired, and 56% of WDFC and 60% of EDFC is complete as of July 2020.
- It is both enabler and beneficiary of other key Government of India schemes, such as Industrial corridor, Make in India, Startup India, Standup India, Sagarmala, Bharatmala, UDAN-RCS, Digital India, BharatNet.
- In April 2005, wherein, India and Japan announced collaboration for feasibility and possible funding of the dedicated rail freight corridors, and RITES was entrusted with the feasibility study of both eastern and western corridors, followed by formation of a Planning Commission’s Task Force to prepare a concept paper on Delhi-Mumbai (Western) and Delhi-Howrah (Eastern) dedicated freight corridor projects, and to suggest a new organizational structure for planning, financing, construction and operation of these corridors.
- In January 2006, RITES submitted the Feasibility Study Report of both the corridors and Cabinet approved Task Force’s report, Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) gave “in principle” approval to the Feasibility Study report. Subsequently, RITES submitted the PETS Report based on which the project was approved at a cost of ₹28,181 crore.
- Under the Eleventh Five Year Plan of India (2007–12), the Ministry of Railways started constructing a new Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) in two long routes, namely the Eastern and Western freight corridors.The two routes cover a total length of 3,360 kilometres (2,090 mi), with the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor stretching from Ludhiana in Punjab to Dankuni in West Bengal and the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor from Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Mumbai (Maharashtra) to Dadri in Uttar Pradesh.Upgrading of transportation technology, increase in productivity and reduction in unit transportation cost are the focus areas for the project.
