General Information:
- Every eligible candidate should apply to the advertised posts only by filling the prescribed proforma that is enclosed. The candidate should enclose attested copies of educational qualification/s and experience certificate/s along with a self-addressed stamped envelope (9” x 4”) with Rs.22/- postage stamp affixed. Please write on the outer side of the envelope, the name of post applied for in bold letters.
- The applications of every eligible candidate should be accompanied by a non-refundable Demand Draft for Rs.500/- (Gen & OBC) and Rs.300/- (SC/ST) drawn in favour of ‘PRINCIPAL, SAINIK SCHOOL, AMARAVATHINAGAR’ payable at SBI, Amaravathinagar (Code 2191). This is also applicable to all eligible candidates whose names may be forwarded by Zilla Sainik Board or Employment Exchanges. Any application that is not accompanied by the non-refundable demand draft or if any applicant forwards an incorrect demand draft the application will be rejected without notice/intimation.
- Filled application with all attachments must reach Principal, Sainik School, Amaravathinagar, Udumalpet Taluk, Tiruppur District, Tamilnadu 642 102 on or before 04 Apr 2021. The school will not be responsible for any postal delay and no requests/claim will be entertained. No application will be entertained beyond 04 Apr 2021.
- Certain posts are reserved for SC/ST category as indicated against each post. However, if adequately qualified SC/ST candidates are not available for the posts reserved for them, the posts will be filled from amongst the eligible general category candidates.
- Applications received late/ without application fee/ not in prescribed format will be rejected without any intimation.
- Only short listed candidates will be called for written test and/or interview as applicable. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview. Specific instructions to ensure safety during COVID pandemic will be intimated to shortlisted candidates.

- Sainik school, Amaravathinagar is an English medium, residential school for boys providing Public School Education with a military bias upto +2 stage as per the Central Board of Secondary Education Syllabus. In common with other Sainik Schools it has an All India system of selection and examination. Almost every state in India has a Sainik School.
- The aim of the school is to prepare the boys academically, physically and psychologically for entry into the National Defence Academy. Character, team spirit, dedication to purpose, a patriotic outlook and a desire to serve the country with zeal and efficiency are the qualities sought to be promoted by the training at the school.
- The concept of Sainik Schools originated with Mr. Krishna Menon, who was our Defence Minister in the early 1960s. Mr. Menon felt that a school with rudiments of a military way of life in each state of our country, could go a long way in building up an infrastructure for intake into the NDA. Thus sainik schools came into being in each state.
- The school has well-equipped and spacious Multimedia Classrooms and laboratories. The maximum strength of the children in a classroom is 35-40 for an optimum student – teacher ratio.
