General Instruction:

  • The selection will be made for the NHRIMH, Kottayam.
  • Retired candidates from service with teaching experience shall be given preference for the academic posts.
  • The eligibility of the candidates, including age limit, will be determined as on the last date of receipt of application.
  • The candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirement may apply in the prescribed forms (Annex-1) along with self attested photocopies of the testimonials of qualifications, experience, mark sheet, birth certificates, registration certificate and two passport size photographs etc. Pension payment Orders (in case of retired personnel). Entries in the application form should be supported by the relevant documents.
  • The Candidates already in Govt. service must follow the prescribed procedure for applying through proper channel.
  • The appointment will be made purely on contract basis initially for a period of one year.
  • The candidates, if employed with any University/College/Autonomous Body/Govt. or private sector may bring NOC from their employer at the time of interview.
  • Application fee in the form of Demand Draft of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) (non-refundable) drawn in favour of “Director General, CCRH” payable at New Delhi should accompany the application. Applications received without the requisite fee will be summarily rejected. There will be no application fee for women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled tribe, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen. Such candidates will have to submit along with the application from, requisite documentary proof in support of their belonging to one of the exempted categories.
  • The number of vacancies may vary depending upon the requirement at the time of final selection.
  • The Competent Authority reserves the right to change/modify/cancel the recruitment exercise for any post at any stage without assigning any reason. The competent authority reserves the right to terminate the contractual engagement at any time without assigning any reason.
  • The selected candidates shall have no claim for appointment on regular basis by virtue of their being engaged on contractual basis.
  • Interested candidates may also in their own interest ensure that they fulfil the eligibility conditions.
  • In case, large number of applications is received, the competent authority reserves the right to shortlist candidates by adopting appropriate criteria. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview.

  • National Homoeopathy Research Institute In Mental Health (NHRIMH), Kottayam, Kerala is the first Research institute in Homoeopathy under Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), Ministry of AYUSH; Govt. of India. This was established in the year 1974 as Regional Research institute, later upgraded to Central Research institute for Homeopathy in 1982 and upgraded as NHRIMH in November 2016. The main objective of the institute is to work for the development of Homoeopathic research and education. The erstwhile grant in aid Homoeopathic Research Centre started by Athurasramam Homoeopathic Medical College, Sachivothamapuram P.O. Kottayam, with the initiative of the patron at the college His Holiness Swamy Athuradasji was taken over by Govt. of India in the year 1974 and established as a Regional Research institute with 25 beds IPD facility in a space provided by the Kerala State Govt. This Regional Research institute in Homoeopathy was upgraded as the first Central Research institute with 50 beds IPD facility in 1974. Since the date of establishment, the institute provides high quality treatment in various clinical conditions and also concentrates on various clinical research trials especially in psychiatric conditions.
  • Institute started functioning from the year 2009 in its own building constructed in 1.78 acres of land given free hold by the Government of Kerala during the year 2005. Further steps for developments were initiated with clinical research projects on Child Psychiatry and Substance Abuse Disorders and for additional bed strength of 50 beds. This second phase of development was held during February 2014 by the Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Shri Kodikkunnil Suresh.During October 2010 Smt. Jalaja, Secretary AYUSH visited the institute and after reviewing the activities of the institute, proposed that the institute may be developed as a National Institute in Homoeopathy.
  • Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent charge), Ministry of AYUSH, and Government of India visited the institute and inaugurated the Occupational Therapy & Rehabilitation Unit on 10th January 2015.
  • The institute took further steps for the future development and envisaged its up gradation to the status of a national institute with a major objective to start PG degree programmes in Practice of Medicine and Psychiatry. Institute has also proposed to start PhD programmes and BSc Nursing courses in Homoeopathy. These higher objectives are being materialised and the Government of India, considering the potential of the institute upgraded and renamed it as National Homoeopathy Research institute in Mental Health (NHRIMH) during November 2016. The formal inauguration of the institute was done by Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent charge), Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India on 26th May 2017, in the august presence of Smt. Shailaja Teacher, Minister of Health and Social Justice, Govt of Kerala, Shri Kodikkunnil Suresh, Hon’ble M.P., Shri C.F. Thomas, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Kerala, Shri P. N. Ranjith Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, Dr.M.K.C Nair, Vice Chancellor, Kerala University of Health Sciences, trissur and Dr. Raj K. Manchanda, Director General , CCRH, New Delhi.
  • At present the institute has 15 ongoing research projects in various disease conditions apart from Homoeopathic pathogenetic trial. The institute is having an average attendance of 600 patients in general OPD and is having 100 bedded IPD facilities. Apart from various research projects, the institute is also running Mother and Child Care clinic, Life style disorders clinic, Dermatology clinic, ENT clinic and peripheral Swasthya Rakshan OPDs and Rural Health Survey programmes. Institute has identified 5 areas in Changanasserry Taluk and provides incidental medical care & health surveys. This institute also conducts special medical camps for Scheduled Caste dominant area at 2 places. Institute is actively involved in various community intervention programmes like distribution of preventive medicines and awareness camps especially during epidemic outbreaks. In September 2010, an extension centre of NHRIMH, Kottayam was started at Vinobanikethan, Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram.
