On-line applications are invited from the candidates through the proforma Application Form to be made available on WEBSITE (http://opsconline.gov.in) from 06.05.2016 to 06.06.2016 (Note: 09.06.2016 is the last date for payment of application fees) for admission to the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2016 for recruitment to 17 post of Odisha Finance Service, Group-A (JB) for the year 2015 and 128 Posts of (i) Odisha Administrative Service, Group-A (JB), (ii) Odisha Finance Service, Group-A (JB) & (iii) Odisha Police Service, Group-A (JB) for the year, 2016 coming under the Odisha Civil Services in the scale of pay of Rs.15,600- 39,100/- carrying Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-(PB-3) with usual Dearness and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time. The Examination will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Odisha Civil Services (Combined Competitive Recruitment Examination) Rules, 1991 as amended from time to time. The relevant portions of the said Rules are available on the Websith of the Commission.

General instructions:
- Candidates must answer the papers in their own handwriting and in no circumstances they will be allowed the help of a scribe to write the answer for them.
- The Commission shall be competent to fix the qualifying marks in any or all the subjects of the examination.
- If a candidate’s handwriting is not easily legible, a deduction will be made on this account from the total marks otherwise accruing to him.
- Marks will not be allotted for mere superficial knowledge.
- Credit will be given for orderly, effective and exact expression combined with due economy of words in all subjects of the examination.
- In the Question Papers, wherever necessary, questions involving the metric system of weights and measures only will be set.
