General Information:
- AIIMS Patna invites Application for the post of 15 Senior Resident Vacancy. Apply Online before 16, 23, 30 Jan & 06 February 2021. Qualification/eligibility conditions, how to apply & other rules are given below…
- Vacancies may increase or decrease at the time of selection. The number of vacancies indicated above is provisional and subject to change without any notice.
- UPPER AGE LIMIT (as on date of interview) will be 45 years.
- Relax able for SC/ST candidates up to a maximum period of five years and in the case of OBC candidates up to a maximum period of three years.
- In the case of Orthopedic/Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates up to a maximum period of 5 years for UR, 8 Years for OBC and 10 years for SC/ST category candidates.
- Qualification for Senior Resident (Anesthesiology): A graduate degree (MBBS) MS/DNB in Anesthesiology from a recognized University/Institute (appearing Candidate may also come).
- Date of Interview: Walk in interview on 16/01/2021 and thereafter 23.01.2021, 30.01.2021, 06.02.2021 till posts are filled up.
- Reporting time: 10:00 am at the Dean’s Office, Admin building, AIIMS Patna.
- APPLICATION FEE
a. UR & OBC: – Rs. 1000/-
b. No fees required for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates.
c. The fee shall be received in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “AIIMS Patna” payable
at Patna. (The Demand Draft will be received on the day of interview). No other mode of payment
i.e. Cash/Cheque/Postal order will be entertained. - Canvassing in any form will disqualify candidate.
- Crucial date for determination of eligibility with regard to age, educational qualification and experience etc. will be the date, the candidates appear in the interview.
- Person with disability are required to produce the physically handicapped certificate (with degree of disability) in original issued by the competent authority (i.e. Medical Board duly constituted by the central Govt. or State Govt.) at the time of interview.
- Subject to availability, Residents Doctors will be provided accommodation in the resident Hostel.
- Selected candidates will be paid consolidated salary as per GOI.
- Eligible candidates are requested to report at the Dean’s Office (Admin Block) at 10:00 AM positively on the dates of interview along with originals, Photocopies of relevant document and one passport size Colour photograph. Application Form will be provided at the venue on the date of Interview. They have to fill in their particulars in the prescribed application format and enclosed the following relevant document duly attested:-

- All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna (AIIMS Patna), previously Jaya Prakash Narayan All India Institute of Medical Sciences (JPNAIIMS), is a medical college and medical research public institute located in Phulwari Sharif, Patna, Bihar, India. It is one of the Institutes of National Importance in India. It started operating on 25 September 2012 after a series of observations by Patna High Court.The institute operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Its foundation was laid by Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, on 3 January 2004, during his tenure as vice-president.As of 2018, it became fully functional.
- In 2004, Central government decided to set up new AIIMS at Rishikesh, Bhopal, Patna, Jodhpur, Bhubaneswar and Raipur Though the foundation stone for the 350-crore project (2004 estimate) was laid in 2004 during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure,the project was delayed owing to the power shift at the centre and its cost has escalated from 3.35 billion (US$47 million) to ₹8.5 billion (US$120 million). The AIIMS, Patna, is under construction for more than eight years.
- The official state of AIIMS Patna was set through an Ordinance, which allowed six AIIMS—like institutes to become operational from September 2012.This was replaced by the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2012 was passed in the Lok Sabha in August of that year and in the Rajya Sabha in September.
- AIIMS-P doubled the intake of students into its MBBS course to 100 in 2013 from 50 in 2012.In May 2018, a blood bank and eight new departments were inaugurated.In August 2018, emergency and trauma centre, eight modular operation theatres and an additional 250 beds at the inpatient department (IPD) were inaugurated.

- AIIMS PATNA hospital comprises OPD block, IPD block, Trauma and Emergency block and a separate AYUSH and PMR building having state of art infrastructure.As of 2020, AIIMS PATNA has 950 beds, 28 functional modular operating theatres, 12 functional super speciality and 18 functional speciality.
