General Instruction:
- Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the posts mentioned above including Backlog Vacancies in the University Departments. Details of Posts, Application Form, Prescribed Qualifications, General Instructions and other details will be available in the University website http:// www.tnpesu.org from 28.01.2020. The Last date of receipt of filled in application is 24.02.2020 by 05.45 p.m.
- Any addendum / corrigendum shall be posted only on the University website. The University reserves the right either to fill or not to fill the posts without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
- Candidates shouLd send three copies of their fiLLed –in appLications Part – I, Part – II and Part –
III (DetaiLs of Academic Record and Academic Research Score) in the prescribed format aLong with a softcopy with a CD. Otherwise the appLication wiLL not be entertained. - The Post is / was in an equivaLent grade or of the pre-revised scaLe of pay as the post of Assistant Professor (Lecturer), Associate Professor (Reader) and Professor.
- Age is reckoned as on 1st JuLy (Except Assistant Engineer).
- With regard to educationaL quaLification, the eLigibiLity date is the date of Notification.
- PhysicaL Fitness Test for Deputy Director Post wiLL be conducted on the day of Interview and candidates have to produce medicaL certificate before appearing for physicaL fitness test.
- The date for written examinations for the post of Assistant Engineer wiLL be intimated Later.
- Reservation as per reLevant G.O. of Government of TamiL Nadu.
- In case of no quaLified candidates beLonging to Arunthathiar are avaiLabLe, ScheduLe Caste other than Arunthathiar shaLL be considered for seLection on the basis of merit.
- DetaiL of Post, eLigibiLity criteria incLuding quaLification and the communaL reservation can be seen in Annexure – I appended to this AppLication.
- Candidates who satisfy the conditions prescribed shouLd be prepared to appear for interview at their own cost.
- Candidates must be an Indian NationaL.
- Candidates may be caLLed for an interview as per the List prepared by the Screening Committee constituted for the purpose by the Vice-ChanceLLor. The summoning of the candidates for the interview mereLy indicates that it is feLt that he/she with others may be suitabLe for the post and conveys no assurance whosoever that he/she wiLL be recommended or seLected or his/ her conditions specifies in the appLication wiLL be accepted.
- Any attempt, by the candidate, either directLy or indirectLy to infLuence the SeLection Committee or other authorities of the University wiLL disquaLify the candidate for the post.
- In addition to pay, the post carries aLLowances as per the TamiL Nadu State government ruLes.
- The service conditions and other terms of appointment in the University shaLL be subject to the approvaL of the Syndicate of the TamiL Nadu PhysicaL Education and Sports University.
- Persons who are aLready working in State of CentraL Government/ University, PubLic Sector Undertakings shouLd send their appLications through proper channeL. Any deLay in sending the appLications through proper channeL is not the responsibiLity of the University. Advance Copy of the appLication reaching the Registrar, TamiL Nadu PhysicaL Education and Sports University, Chennai-127 within the prescribed time Limit shaLL be entertained provided originaL appLication forwarded through proper channeL reached the Registrar office before the candidates are caLLed for interview or the Screening Committee meets.
- The appLication form shaLL be fiLLed- in, compLete in aLL respects, giving correct information. Defective and incompLete appLication and those with wrong or faLse information wiLL be summariLy rejected.
- Evidence of Experience and Degree/DipLoma Certificates and aLL the testimoniaLs shouLd be brought in originaL at the time of interview. Attested Copies of Certificates, Mark-Sheets, TestimoniaLs, etc., shouLd be attached with the appLication and must be produced at the time of interview and at the time of joining, if seLected. The SeLected candidate shaLL produce, in originaL, the MatricuLation or equivaLent certificates as proof of the date of birth. No other evidence wiLL be accepted.
- No interim queries regarding test / interview/ seLection wiLL be entertained.
- The Candidates appLying for the posts mentioned in the Advertisement and Annexure-I appended to this appLication shouLd sent their appLication aLong with two copies of Bio¬Data. Otherwise appLication wiLL not be entertained.
- The appLications received after the Last date for the receipt of the appLication, wiLL not be entertained for consideration and it wiLL be rejected and the cost of appLications so remitted wiLL not be refunded.
- Only such of those applications which are in full shape satisfying the eligibility criteria referred to in the Instructions to the candidates and also in the notification advertised in the Tamil and English Dailies dated 25th January 2020.
- A total research score of Seventy Five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix –I for Associate Professor.
- A total research score of One Hundred and Twenty (120) as per the criteria given in Appendix –I for Professor.
- Last Date for receipt of the filled in application 24.02.2020 before 5.45 p m.
- The filled-in Application should be sent in sealed cover and name of the post with department be mentioned in the top of the envelope.

- The Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University established by an Act of the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2004, is unique and the first of its kind in India as an affiliatory University, exclusively for Physical Education and Sports. After obtaining the accent from his Excellency the president of India on 5th August 2005, the said act came into force with effect from 15th September 2005.
- It is a rare coincidence that the University has started functioning from December 2005, declared by the United Nations as International year for Sport and Physical Education. At present the University has three Faculties, five Departments and ten affiliated Colleges. Further the University now offers select Physical Education and Allied Courses, through collaborative programme and Distance Education stream also.
