Institution/ Industry. - Higher start in prescribed pay leve l may be considered for exceptionally deserving candidates.
- Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, Ex servicemen and Divyang candidates against reserved posts shall be admissible as per Government of India norms.
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Ex Serviceman/ Persons with disabilities wi II be exactly as per Govt. of India rules.
- OBC (NCL) certificate issued only on or after 01.04.2019 will be considered. OBC (NCL) certificate has to be either submitted with application form or produced during the time of document verification
for availing age relaxation/ reservation under OBC (NCL) category. - No TA will be paid for written/trade test.
- All posts are on probation for a period of 02 years. After the completion of probation period, the employees may be confirmed in service or their probation may be extended depending on their
performance. Further, they can be transferred to any section/unit as per specific requirement within the Institute. - The candidates applying for more than one post must submit their separate application form for each post and send them in separate covers super-scribing the post applied for.

- Canvassing in any form/ bringing in any innuence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post. ” INTERIM ENQUIRY WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED”.
- Incomplete application or application without self-attested copies of certificate or without mentioning the post applied for or received after the last date are liable to be rejected. Interim correspondence will not be ente1tained and replied to.
- Any dispute with regard to the selection/ recruitment process will be subject to court/ tribunals having jurisdiction over Patna.

- The Indian Institute of Technology Patna (abbreviated IIT Patna or IITP) is an autonomous institute of education and research in science, engineering and technology located in Patna, India. It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. It is one of the new IITs established by an Act of the Indian Parliament on August 6, 2008.
- The permanent campus of IIT Patna is located at Bihta which is approximately 30 km from Patna city and has been fully operational since 2015.
- IIT Patna’s campus is located at Amhara, Bihta, 35 km from Patna at a 501 acres (203 ha) site.The foundation stone of the IIT Patna, Bihta Campus was laid by Kapil Sibal in 2011. IIT Patna started its new session (from July 2015) in its permanent campus located at Bihta. The campus at Bihta was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 July 2015.Earlier, the institute was operating from a temporary 10 acres (4.0 ha) complex in Pataliputra colony, Patna, in buildings which have been renovated and were previously used by the Naveen Government Polytechnic.
- This is the main building of the campus that can be viewed directly from the campus main gate. It houses all the administrative offices, the Central Library, the Directorate, offices of all the Deans and other officials.
