MBBS Degree from a Recognized University & must be registered with Delhi Medical Council (DMC).

General Instruction:
- Applications as per given format should be accompanied by self attested copies of (I) Permanent Registration Certificate from Delhi Medical Council (For MBBS) (II) Internship Completion Certificate (III) one passport size photograph (IV) EWS Certificate & Caste Certificate issued by the Tehsildar or above rank officer of Govt. of India or PWD (One Leg Ortho) Certificate from government hospital (if any).
- Undertaking must be signed by the candidate. Junior Residency (House Job) done previously, If so, period, department name and name of Institution in application format.
- Incomplete or unsigned and without self attested application will be rejected and no communication will be entertained in this regard.
- Seats are reserved for EWS, SC, ST, OBC & PWD (Ortho) as per Central Govt. job/ DOPT instruction.
- DMC (Original/Receipt) Registration Certificate is mandatory and will be submitted with application form or at the time of counselling. No candidate will be allowed to attend the counselling, if he/she will not submit DMC.
- For EWS candidates please attach certificate should be issued by Tehsildar or above rank officer of State Govt/Central Govt. of India.
- For OBC Candidates please attach certificate from appropriate authority, which is meant for the post under the Central Government of India, and Certified that the Candidate does not belong to Creamy Layer. Date of issue of Certificate should be after 01.04.2019 in annexure 10.
- For SC, ST – certificate should be issued by Tehsildar or above rank officer in format of State Govt/Central Govt. of India.
- Those who have already done one year (Non-PG) Junior Residency in any Govt. Hospital will not be considered and need not apply.
- Only applications in response to this advertisement and OBC Certificate in prescribed Performa as per given format will be considered and the name of suitable candidate as per criteria given above will be displayed on the website www.vmmcsjh.nic.in

- Safdarjung Hospital was founded in 1942 during the Second World War as a Base Hospital for the allied forces. It was taken over by the Govt. of India in 1954 under the Ministry of Health. It has grown over the years into one of the largest, tertiary, level multi-disciplinary healthcare institutions in this part of the World. Based on the needs and developments in Medical Care, the hospital has been regularly upgrading its facilities from diagnostic and therapeutic aspects in all the specialities. The hospital which started with only 204 beds now has 1531 authorized beds. The hospital provides medical care to millions of citizens not only of Delhi and the neighbouring states but also to people of neighbouring countries.
- The mission of the hospital is to provide “SERVICE before SELF” to all who seek medical advice / treatment.
- Vision is to provide best health care to persons seeking our services, so as to enable them to enjoy a better and healthier life.
- The hospital has been a centre for training and teaching of post – graduate students since 1962. In 1973 the hospital faculty constituted of clinical faculty of the University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) to which it was attached till 1990. Even after the college (UCMS) shifted to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital at Shadara, Delhi. The hospital still continues to impart post-graduate training in various specialties and super specialties. The hospital is also a centre for training of interns from various institutions in the country and abroad.
