BE/ B.Tech in Electrical/ EEE with min 60% marks and GATE 2019 qualified.

- Only those serving employees of PSTCL/PSPCL or any other Pb.Govt., iI’selected shall be eligible to be issued appointment letters who are certified by the Head of the Department as not having any pending disciplinary proceedings or undergoing punishment under Punjab Civil Services (Punishment & Appeal) Rules. 1970. or any other applicable rules, as the case may be, not undergoing any trial/prosecution or any other material disqualification in terms of integriry and professional misconduct and necessary NOC should be supplied from the Head of the Department at the time of document checking.
- The selected candidates will be governed by PSTCL Regulations. orders. instructions etc. as amended from time to time.
- In case the candidate fails to deposit the requisite fee. hisrher application shall stand automatically cancelled/rejected and shall not be consideled fbr further processing.

- The Government of India has initiated reforms for liberalizing the power sector in the country to contain T&D losses, burgeoning subsidy burden and rampant corruption & for improving overall efficiency by making every individual accountable. The enactment of Electricity Act 2003 was the first step in this direction. Joining the league of other states in India, regarding implementation of Power sector reforms, Punjab Government has also unbundled Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB), which was a statutory body formed on 01/02/1959 responsible for Generation, Transmission and Distribution of electricity in the state of Punjab. Vide Notification No 1/9/08-EB(PR)196, dated-16.04.2010 Govt. of Punjab carved out following two corporations out of erstwhile PSEB:
- 1.Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL)
2.Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) - Acting as State Transmission Utility (STU), PSTCL has been entrusted with the transmission business of the erstwhile Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB). Functions of State Load Despatch Center shall also be discharged by PSTCL.
