Vacancy Details:
Faculty
01. Professor
Educational Qualification:
1.A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956(Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)
2.A post graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. Experience:
Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
02. Additional Professor
Educational Qualification:
1. A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of
the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956(Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)
2. A post    graduate    qualification e.g. MD/MS or a    recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience: Ten years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. /M.S .or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
3. Associate Professor
Educational Qualification:
1. A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956(Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)
2. A post graduate    qualification e.g. MD/MS or a    recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. Experience
Six years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S .or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Essential for super-specialty disciplines:-
4. Assistant Professor
Educational Qualification:
1. A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956(Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)
2. A post graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. Experience
Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. /M.S .or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

01. Lecturer in Nursing
Qualification/ Experience
1. Master    Degree in    Nursing from a recognized institution/university.
2. Registered Nurse Midwife
3. Five years experience with a minimum of two years teaching experience in Nursing.

Upper Age Limit: 50 (Fifty years). However, This is relaxable for SC/ST candidate up to a maximum period of five (5) years, for OBC candidates up to a maximum period of three (3) years. In case of Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates, age relaxation up to a maximum period of ten(10) years for General Category, eight (13) years for OBC category and fifteen (15) years for SC/ST category candidates.
Application Fees: Application fee for General/OBC candidate is Rs.1000/-, fees for SC/ST candidates is Rs.500/-, fee for physically handicapped candidates is NIL. Other Information for the Candidates:
(i)The All India Institute of Medical Science is an autonomous body established under Act of parliament.
(ii)Service under the Institute is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there under.
(iii)All the posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
(iv)Probation period: The period of probation is two years.
(v)Promotions: The faculty member gaining requisite experience for the higher post can be granted promotion subject to the Rules and Regulations applicable from time to time in the Central Government Institutions/AIIMS.
(vi)The applicants, who do not have requisite qualifications up to the last date for submission of applications, will not be considered.
(vii)The discipline/subject for which the application is being submitted needs to be indicated clearly.
(viii)Separate application should be submitted for separate post along-with the prescribed fee for each post. A consolidated application for more than one post will not be considered.
(ix)Incomplete application(s) will not be considered.
(x)The applicants already in Government service shall have to produce Relieving Certificate from their present employer before joining the Institute.
(xi)The employees of the Institute will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division). Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003.
(xii)The post(s) is/are whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.
(xiii)The persons belonging to SC/ST/OBC community must submit the certificate in the requisite pro-forma duly issued by the authority concerned.
(xiv)While every effort will be made to provide residential accommodation to the faculty staff appointed at the Institute subject to availability but in view of the paucity of the residential accommodation in the campus it may not be possible to provide accommodation in every case. In the event that no accommodation is provided, necessary H.R.A. as admissible to Central Government Servants of similar status stationed at Jodhpur, Rajasthan will be provided.
(xv)AIIMS reserves the rights to increase or decrease the number of vacancies.
(xvi)Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.
(xvii)The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
(xviii)In case any information given or declaration by the candidate is found to be false or if the candidate has willfully suppressed any material information relevant to this appointment, he/she will be liable to be removed from the service and any action taken as deemed fit by the appointing authority.
(xix)The Competent Authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice.
(xx)The decision of the competent authority regarding selection of candidates will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
(xxi)All disputes will be subject to jurisdiction of Court of Law at JODHPUR.
