General Instruction:
- Applications are invited for the following posts of Junior Residents, Senior Residents and Demonstrators in Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College, Karnal on short-term tenure basis for six months, which can be further extended to meet out the requirement of MCI and due to Covid-19 pandemic. Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College, Karnal is a permitted Medical College by MCI. The applicants must mention their resume, complete correspondence address.
- Age not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years up to the date of interview. The benefit of relaxation of in upper age limit in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST, BC, and ESM etc. will be as per Haryana Govt. instructions issued from time to time and are restricted to Haryana domiciles only.
- The staff will be governed as per the rules of Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College, Karnal which are at par with the rules currently applicable to the employees of Pt. B.D Sharma PGIMS, Rohtak.
- Preference will be given to fresher for the post of Junior Residents, who have recently completed their MBBS course.
- The interview will be held at 12:00 PM onwards in the office of Director, Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College, Karnal. The candidates must bring all the essential certificates/documents i.e. (Matriculate Certificate, MBBS/MD Mark sheets, Degrees, Registration etc.) in original for verification at the time of interview.
- Experience will be considered only if it is obtained from Central/State Govt. Hospital/Dispensary or MCI recognized/permitted Govt./Private Medical College. Experience certificate issued by private Hospitals will not be considered.
- Production of MBBS attempt certificate is mandatory for candidates at the time of interview.
- The candidates should submit application form along with IPO (Indian Postal Order)/ Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 125/- for reserved category) in favour of Director, Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College, Karnal.
- Incomplete application in any form & without attested copies of educational certificates and other relevant documents will be rejected.
- Number of posts can be increased or decreased on the basis of actual requirement against sanctioned post without any prior information/notice.
- In the interest of patient care and public interest if the exigency of the situation so demands then Hospital administration reserves the right to change the posting of Junior Resident to other departments.
- Keeping COVID-19 pandemic in view, KCGMC has been declared as dedicate COVID Hospital. Hence, you have to work in COVID only.
- No Separate Interview letter will be sent.
- Age & qualification will be counted up to the date of interview.
- The selected candidate will have to deposit a security amounting to Rs. ioo oo/- (Refundable) at the time of joining in shape of Demand Draft (In favour of The Director, Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College, Karnal).
- Keeping COVID-19 Epidemic in view, the selected candidate will not quit the job before completion of tenure otherwise security fee of Rs. 10000/- will be forfeited and other actions as per rules will be taken.
- In case the number of candidates for any post is more than 10 times the post advertised, a screening test may be held for that post to shortlist the candidates and candidates will be called for Interview in the ratio 1:5 ( Considering Top 05 candidates of the screening test result).
- Date and Reporting time for walkin interview is 05-04-2021 (11 AM) Aspirants should produce all original documents and testimonials of age, qualification, caste, experience etc in support of their meeting eligibility conditions at the time of Interview.
- Candidates Failing any of the conditions will not be permitted to attend the interview.
- Aspirants will be called for selection based on Self certified information, along with photo copies of testimonials furnished by them. Selection will be on the basis of performance in Interviews.

- The Government of Haryana has established a Medical College and Hospital with all modern amenities in the heart of Karnal city in the name of Kalpana Chawla, famous astronaut. The Medical College and Hospital is spread over an area of more than 50 acres. With the establishment of this Medical College in Karnal, the hopes and aspirations of the people of the area will be met with the standards of health services going up and students benefiting with the advantage getting better educational avenues in a congenial environment.
- Presently, the hospital has more than 300 beds which will be increased to 700 beds in a phased manner. The hospital has state of the art equipments such as Computerized Radiography, CT Scan, Color Doppler, Automatic Cell Counters, Laparoscope, Operating Microscopes, laser, TURP, facilities and fully functional biochemistry laboratory. The medical college building has all essential departments for 100 MBBS seats as per MCI guidelines including Preclinical, Para clinical and Clinical Departments comprising demonstration rooms, museum, student laboratories and departmental library along with air conditioned central library and lecture theaters. Separate hostels for boys and girls and residences for faculty and staff. The institution will have state of the art I.T. facilities with Wi-Fi campus and hostels.
- Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College (KCGMC) is a co-educational Medical College located in Karnal, Haryana, India.
- Construction began in late 2013 and is almost complete. It has a fully functional, state of the art OPD and hospital.
- The Medical College is affiliated to Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana. Approved by MCI for intake of 120 MBBS students every year.
- It is associated with Govt. Hospital, Karnal which serves as the teaching hospital.
- Government of Haryana named the college in honour of the astronaut Kalpana Chawla.
