Educational Qualification:
3 year Diploma with First Class in Electrical / Civil Engineering ,2 year ITI certificate in Electrician Trade,Degree in Arts/Commerce/ Science/ Management with First Class ,Degree in Commerce / Business Administration/ Business Management /Arts with First Class and min 3 yrs experience.

General Condition:
- Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) is an autonomous Society under the Ministry of Power engaged in Research and Development in the fields of generation, transmission, distribution and operation of electricity supply systems. CPRI acts as an apex body for initiating and coordinating applied research in electrical power engineering assisting the electrical industry in product development and in Quality Assurance. CPRI also serves as an independent Authority for Testing & Certification of power equipment. The CPRI Head office is situated at Bangalore and its units are at Bhopal, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Noida, Kolkata, Guwahati and Nasik.
- CPRI invites on-line applications from the eligible Indian Nationals for filling up of vacancies in the following posts.
- The number of vacancies is provisional and CPRI reserves the right to vary the number of posts depending upon the requirement.
- CPRI reserves the right to fill up the posts or cancel the advertisement in whole or part without assigning any reason. CPRI also reserves the right to post the candidates appointed in any of its offices located anywhere in India.
- All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by UGC/AICTE/State Governments.
- Mere fulfilling of minimum prescribed qualifications and experience will not entitle the candidates to be shortlisted for MCQ Test/ Skill Test /Stenography Test/Trade Test/Document Verification Process etc. In the event of number of eligible applications being large, CPRI reserves the right to shortlist the candidates to be called for further process as per academic merit for the posts in the ratio/ cut off marks as determined by CPRI, which will be final and binding.
- The upper age limit is the age as on the last date prescribed for registration of on-line application i.e. 05.04.2020. The age limit mentioned for posts at Sl. No. 1 to 4 are normal age limits and for reserved categories, upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. of India norms. For the post at Sl. No.5 the upper age limit specified is as per relaxed norms.
- Interested candidates with qualifications may apply online for concerned posts as per given online application form. No need to send print to Central Power Research Institute at this stage. Eligible candidates will be intimated about further proceedings. Keeping a print copy for future use is advised.

Electrical products and process improvement - While some of the programme are undertaken in collaboration with industries and utilities, other are taken up in-house to develop the expertise and infrastructure the power sector. The project proposals are planned well in advance keeping in mind the needs of the industry /utilities and are cleared by the committee on Research.

NPP (R&D under National Perspective Plan) - The performance of the institute in the field of testing and certification during the year 2009-2010 is very good as compared to 2008-2009. A total of 66347 tests on 22256 samples were conducted for 6127 organizations. The revenue realized from testing, certification and consultancy services rendered during this year increased to Rs.9600 lakhs as against Rs.7741 lakhs during 2008-2009.
