General Instruction:
- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Ltd, a Joint Venture company with equity participation from the Govt. of India and the Govt. of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of the rail-based Mass Rapid Transit System for Delhi. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Lifeline of Delhi, prides itself on its ability to nurture its employees through its unique work culture. Today, DMRC empowered by about 14,500 employees, carry about 3 million passengers per day in Delhi & NCR. In addition to the above, DMRC is involved in providing consultancy services to a number of cities within India and abroad.
- Caste & EWS Certificate should be in prescribed formats, for seeking reservation/relaxation etc. (All these formats are available on DMRC’s website www.delhimetrorail.com) in the Careers section. No other format will be acceptable. EWS vacancies are tentative and subject to further directives of the Government of India and outcome of any litigation. The appointment would be provisional and
subject to the Income and Asset certificate being verified through the proper channels and if the verification reveals that the claim to belong to EWS is fake/false the services will be terminated
forthwith without assigning any further reasons and without prejudice to such further action as may be taken under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code for production of fake/false certificate. The Income and Asset Certificate issued by any one of the authorities mentioned in the prescribed format as given on our website shall only be accepted as proof of candidate’s claim as belonging to EWS. - The selection process would judge different facets of knowledge, skills, comprehension, aptitude and physical fitness. Candidates will have to qualify the Screening Process and Medical examination, before being adjudged as suitable for selection.
- Eligible candidates should have qualified and secured a valid score in the Civil Engineering ‘CE’ paper of GATE 2019. Candidates would be shortlisted for Group Discussion & / or Personal Interview on the basis of their normalized marks out of 100 in ‘CE’ paper of GATE 2019.
- The candidates shall be called for Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview in the ratio of 1:5. In case of two or more candidates having equal marks in ‘CE’ paper of GATE 2019, the candidate having the higher marks in B.E./B.Tech. (Civil), would be considered for shortlisting.
- In addition to meeting the eligibility criteria, the candidates should have qualified in ‘CE’ paper of GATE 2019 and in the Interview, separately, in order to be considered for empanelment.
- Empanelled candidates would be required to appear for medical examination and those who fail in the prescribed medical test, will not be given any alternative employment and decision of the Corporation shall be final on this issue.

- The success in the screening process shall not confer any right to appointment unless the Corporation is satisfied after such an inquiry, as may be considered necessary, that the candidate having regard to his/her character and antecedents is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service.
- Candidates would be required to apply online from 15/01/2020 to 04/02/2020. The link to apply online shall be hosted on the website of Delhi Metro, www.delhimetrorail.com/career.aspx, only.
- Candidates would be shortlisted based on the information provided by them in their online application form. The list of shortlisted candidates would be displayed on the website of the DMRC by 15/02/2020 (tentatively).
- Shortlisted candidates would have to download their interview e-call letter from the website of the DMRC, using their Registration ID and Password.
- The Group Discussion &/or Personal Interview would be held in the month of February, 2020 (tentatively). The Group Discussion &/or Personal Interviews would be held at the Metro Bhawan,
Barakhamba Road, New Delhi. - Outstation candidates would be reimbursed travelling allowance equivalent to 3rd AC Rail Fare from the rail junction nearest to their correspondence address to Delhi.
- The selected candidates would be required to appear for medical examination within 07 days, from the date of declaration of result.

- The Delhi Metro has been instrumental in ushering in a new era in the sphere of mass urban transportation in India. The swanky and modern Metro system introduced comfortable, air conditioned and eco-friendly services for the first time in India and completely revolutionized the mass transportation scenario not only in the National Capital Region but the entire country.
- Having constructed a massive network of about 389 Km with 285 stations (including NOIDA-Greater NOIDA Corridor and Rapid Metro, Gurugram) in record time in Delhi, NCR, the DMRC today stands out as a shining example of how a mammoth technically complex infrastructure project can be completed before time and within budgeted cost by a Government agency.
- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) was registered on 3rd May 1995 under the Companies Act, 1956 with equal equity participation of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) and the Central Government to implement the dream of construction and operation of a world- class Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS).
- The DMRC opened its first corridor between Shahdara and Tis Hazari on 25th December, 2002. Subsequently, the first phase of construction worth 65 kilometres of Metro lines was finished two years and nine months ahead of schedule in 2005. Since then the DMRC has also completed the construction of another 125 kilometres of Metro corridors under the second phase in only four and a half years.
- Presently, the Delhi Metro network consists of about 389 Km with 285 stations. The network has now crossed the boundaries of Delhi to reach NOIDA and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh in Haryana. With the opening of the Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar and Janakpuri West – Botanical Garden Sections, new age trains equipped with the Unattended Train Operation (UTO) technology have been introduced. These trains operate with the Communication Based Train Control(CBTC) signaling technology which facilitate movement of trains in very short frequencies. This network also includes the NOIDA – Greater NOIDA Aqua Line. The Aqua Line has been constructed by DMRC on behalf of the NOIDA Metro Rail Corporation and is also being operated by DMRC currently. In addition, the 11.6 kilometre long Rapid Metro also connects with the Delhi Metro network at Sikanderpur station of Yellow Line. The Rapid Metro provides connectivity within the satellite city of Gurugram.
