General Conditions:
- The appointment shall be purely on contract basis for a fixed period and will not confer any right on any employee to seek regularisation of services or for continuation of contract period.
- FCSA will be appointed only in case of those JNVs where the installation of hardware in the Vidyalaya has been completed.
- The candidate appointed as FCSA on contract basis will be responsible to teach the children, impart training to other teachers / other staff members, up keeping of hardware & software, maintenance of records for supply and issue of computer stationery and consumables and would submit periodic reports to the Principal as required.
- The FCSA is deployed for teaching the students from Class VI to Class X.
- The FCSA shall take 26 periods in a week during academic hours and 12 periods in the afternoon.
- The FCSA can also be entrusted with other duties like MOD, tutorship and prep duties.
- The FCSA shall maintain the website of the Vidyalaya regularly.
- The FCSA is not entitled for any leave during the period of contract,and he will be governed by the normal Vidyalaya holidays during the contract period.
- On termination of the contract, the FCSA shall not be entitled to any terminal benefits from the Principal of the JNV or NVS.
- Notwithstanding anything in the contract, the Principal may terminate the service of the FCSA before the expiry of the said period
in case if his/her work is not found satisfactory or if his/her conduct is found to be unbecoming of a Govt servant and unsuitable for a coeducational residential institution. - Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (residential co-educational school system under Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India), invite applications from eligible candidates for empanelment and engagement as teachers,purely on contract basis in various subjects for the academic session 2019-2020 against vacancies arising from time to time in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in
the States / UTs of Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Daman, Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. These panels will be made applicable for the vacancies available in these JNVs on re-opening of JNVs after summer vacation w.e.f. 01.07.2019 and valid up to 30.04.2020 only. - Application formats alongwith all other relevant details are available on the website of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Pune Region www.nvsropune.gov.in and on the website of JNVs of the concerned District (website addresses and postal addresses of JNVs are available on the website www.nvsropune.gov.in ). Since JNVs are residential in nature, it is mandatory for the teachers to reside in the Vidyalaya campus to attend residential school duties besides their routine duties.Boarding and Lodging would be provided as available at the JNV site.

- The National Policy on Education-1986 envisaged setting up of residential schools, to be called Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas that would bring out the best of rural talent.
- It was felt that children with special talent or aptitude should be provided opportunities to progress at a faster pace by making good quality education available to them irrespective of their capacity to pay for it. Such education would enable students from rural areas to compete with their urban counterparts on an equal footing.
- The Navodaya Vidyalaya System which began as a unique experiment,is today unparalleled in the annals of school education in india and elsewhere. Its significance lies in the selection of talented rural children as the target group and the attempt to povide them quality education comparable to the best in a residential school system.
- To establish ,endow, maintain, control,and manage schools(hereinafter called the ‘Navodaya Vidyalaya’) and to do all acts and things necessary for or conducive to the promotion of such schools which will have the following objectives:
- To provide good quality modern education-including a strong component of culture inculcation of values, awareness of the environment, adventure activities and physical education- to the talented children predominantly from the rural areas without regard to their family’s socio-economic condition.
- To provide facilities, at a suitable stage, for instruction through a common medium, viz., Hindi and English, all over the country.
- Offer a common core-curriculum to ensure comparability in standards and to facilitate and understand the common and composite heritage of our people.
- To progressive bring students from one part of the country to another in each school to promote national integration and enrich the social content.
- To serve as a focal point for improvement in quality of school education through training of teachers in live situations and sharing of experiences and facilities.
- To establish, develop, maintain and manage hostels for the residence of students of Navodaya Vidyalayas.
- To aid, establish and conduct other institutions as may be required for the furtherance of the Society’s objects in any part of India
- To do all such things as may be considered necessary, incidental or conducive to the attainment of all or any of the objects of the society.
