- Online Applications are invited for recruitment of STAFF NURSE GRADE-A from Indian Citizens only in Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi from 14-03-2021 to 30-04-2021 upto 5:00 P.M. Tentative notified vacancies are mentioned in this advertisement as on date of advertisement which are liable to change is as below.
- According to the decision taken in the 5011′ General Body meeting of the Governing Council, dated 28.01.2021, agenda GB(E)/50.4. male nurse applicants are also eligible to apply, but in any circumstances their proportion among the selected candidates shall not exceed 20 percent of the total vacancies in repective caste category.
- The benefit of reservation will be available only to the bonafide resident of Jharkhand state (as per govt. letter no. 1754 dated 25-02-2019) on the basis of caste certificate issued by the notified State/District authority of Jharkhand not below rank of Circle Officer.
- Unreserved, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Backward Caste — I (BC-I), Backward Caste — II (BC-II)- Rs. 600 + Bank Charges.
- Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribe — Rs. 150 + Bank Charges.
- Selection is based exclusively on written test scores. Candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate shall only be considered by the RIMS for preparing the merit list. The minimum qualifying marks shall be as per govt. notification no.
- Candidates belonging to any of the reserved category and selected on merit fixed for unreserved candidates shall not be adjusted against the reserved category vacancies.
- Whenever candidates belonging to reserved category avail the benefits of relaxation of age, minimum qualifying marks fixed for reserved candidates appearing in examination at any stage then such candidates would be adjusted against the vacancies of a reserved category only.

- The Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), established on 15 August 2002 by upgrading the then Rajendra Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) originally setup in 1960, is a medical institute of in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, India. The college is an autonomous body established under an act of Jharkhand Assembly and is one of the premier medical colleges in the state and India.
- The institute provides free medical service along with medicines. Developments in the field of surgery include minimal access cosmetically sound (MACS) surgery.
- The RIMS has blocks in a multi-storied building with several medical departments. RIMS has about 33 departments which include emergency, Blood bank, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, OBST & Gynae, ENT, Eye, Anesthesiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Skin STD & Leprosy, PMR, Urology, cardiology,Radiology and others. RIMS has facilities like CT scan, emergency pathology for 24 hrs, AIDS Clinic, X-Ray, USG, TeleMedicine Department and a Deep X-Ray unit. Dental institute began functioning in 2017 with an annual intake of 50 students.
- RIMS has its own blood bank, nursing school, dental college and nursing college. At RIMS medical courses include MBBS, BDS, postgraduate – MD, MS,DM, MCh and Diploma. It also offers radiology and pathological investigation facilities.
- A Regional Institute of ophthalmology Block is coming up.
- The decision to upgrade the institute to university for conducting MBBS exams was taken in 2016.
- RIMS Ranchi has a very large and spacious campus. There is an OPD complex with entrances through central emergency and a separate entrance for OPD. Main hospital building it a 5 storied building which houses all specialty departments and Neurosurgery department. The building has large corridors connecting different wards and OTs.
- Super specialty building houses department of cardiology, cardio OPD, department of urology, department of pediatric surgery and has space for other departments developing in future. Oncology block it has onco OPD, ward, OTs and central library on the top 2 floors.
- Several small buildings like CSSD, mechanised laundry, Blood bank, kitchen and morgue, etc. are situated within the campus. Administrative block houses offices of many officials. Academic complex houses all the lecture theatres, practical halls and director’s office. Department of anatomy and FMT have separate buildings. Anatomy lecture theatre is situated next to the academic complex. RIMS Auditorium is situated near gate no 1. It is very large and can easily accommodate 500 people. Rims stadium in the campus hosts all the sports events and concerts during fests.A yoga centre and gym is coming up in the stadium building. Nursing school has 2 separate buildings. New trauma centre and emergency block, paying ward and new administrative building inaugurated in 2019. A SBI is situated inside the campus for convenience of Doctors, medical students and staff.
