General Information:
- Applications are invited from dynamic and motivated persons who possess the prescribed qualification for the post(s) being advertised and meet other eligibility criteria for Direct Recruitment in Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (JMRC).
- This recruitment is being undertaken under the provisions of the JMRC Recruitment & Service Rules, 2012, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Rules’, available on JMRC websites: www.jaipurmetrorail.in or http://transport.rajasthan.gov.in/jmrc and recruitment portal, i.e., www.jmrcrecruitment.in. This recruitment is being made against the vacant posts in JMRC. Given the transitory nature of the mode of project, operations & maintenance, the nature of service is temporary, as explained in the Rules, especially Preamble thereof.
- General (Open Competition) candidates can apply for all of these posts even if no vacancy is available for them for any of the post. However, their candidature will be considered only when no qualified candidates are available in OBC/MBC/EWS/Ex-Servicemen category as per rules.
- Numbers of posts and vacancies indicated above are provisional and subject to increase /decrease as per the requirement of JMRC.
- Reservation for different categories has been worked out as per the extant reservation policy of Government of Rajasthan and as per the vacancies available in JMRC for different posts. Sub-categories (like Divorced/ Widow, PD, Sports Person, etc. ) for which number of reserved posts worked out to be N il, have not been depicted in the Table at Section 1.
- Candidates,interview who wish to avail reservation under any category, will be required, at the time of and/or before being selected/ appointed, to submit relevant certificate in support of their reservation status as on the Last Date for Submission of Applications. They are not required to attach such certificate or copy thereof with the online A
- Application, but whenever required they will have to produce a valid certificate issued on or prior to the Last Date for Submission of Applications, failing which the benefits applicable to that category will not be permissible. Thus, the candidates who wish to avail reservation under any category must possess or obtain the relevant certificate latest by the Last Date for Submission of Applications, i.e., 23/01/2020; and keep it with them for producing it at appropriate stage.
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/MBC: i) Posts reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/MBC are meant only for candidates belonging to Rajasthan and are not available to candidates from outside Rajasthan. The candidates of SC/ST/OBC /EWS/MBC belonging to states other than Rajasthan will not be considered as SC/ST/OBC /EWS/MBC for the purpose of this recruitment; they will be treated as General (Open Competition) category candidates for all purposes and will not be entitled to any benefit applicable to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/MBC.
- The candidates applying against vacancies reserved for SC/ST category candidates shall be required to produce a valid Caste/Tribe Certificate issued by a competent authority of the Government of Rajasthan. A married woman candidate, who wants to avail reservation under this category,
- will have to produce a valid Caste/Tribe Certificate issued on the basis of the name of her father. Certificate issued on the basis of name of her husband will not be accepted.
- In the event of non-availability of the eligible and suitable can didates amongst the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes of Rajasthan, as the case may be, the vacancies so reserved for them shall
- be carried forward until such suitable Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes candidates, as the case may be, are available.
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) category includes all the classes declared as Backward Classes (BC) by the Government of Rajasthan, by notification in the Official Gazette.
- Posts reserved for OBC category are available only to Non- Creamy Layer OBC category candidates of Rajasthan. Creamy Layer OBC category candidates of Rajasthan shall be treated as General (Open Competition) category candidates.
- The candidates applying against vacancies reserved for OBC category candidates shall be required to produce a valid OBC certificate of Non-Creamy Layer issued by a competent authority of the Government of Rajasthan. Such OBC certificate of Non Creamy Layer will be issued on the basis of names, resimarried woman dence & income/wealth of parents(both mother & father). Further, a candidate who wants to avail reservation under this category, will have to produce a valid OBC me/wealth of her certificate of Non Creamy Layer issued on the basis of names, residence and inco
parents (both father and mother); and certificate issued on the basis of name, residence and income/wealth of her husband will not be accepted. - In the event of non-availability of the eligible and suitable candidates amongst Other Backward Classes of Rajasthan, the vacancies so reserved for them shall N ot be carried forward and such posts will be filled in accordance with the normal procedure, from outside this category.
- More Backward Classes (MBC) category includes all the classes declared as More Backward Classes (MBC) by the Government of Rajasthan, by notification in the Official Gazette
- In the event of non- availability of the eligible and suitable candidates amongst More Backward Classes of Rajasthan, the vacancies so reserved for them shall N ot be carried forward and such posts will be filled in accordance with the normal procedure, from outside this category.
- Reservation for Women: Reservation of vacancies for woman candidates is within a category (Gen/SC/ST/OBC/EWS/MBC) and reservation of vacancies for widows, if is within women of
any, that category.

- Jaipur Metro is a rapid transit system in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.Construction on the mostly elevated part of the first line, called Phase 1A, comprising 9.63 kilometres (5.98 mi) of route from Mansarovar to Chandpole Bazaar, started on 13 November 2010, and was completed in 2014. Jaipur Metro began commercial service between Chandpole and Mansarovar on 3 June 2015.The Jaipur Metro Rail system is India’s sixth metro rail system after those in Kolkata, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Gurgaon and Mumbai. Jaipur Metro is the first metro in India to run on triple-storey elevated road and metro track. Phase 1-b, from Chandpole to Badi Chaupar, will begin operation in March 2020.
- With the rapid industrialization and commercial development of Jaipur, teamed with a growing population, the transport infrastructure of the city was found to be overburdened. As a result, the government mulled over establishment of Jaipur Metro on the lines of Delhi Metro which had proved to be a great success.
- The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., abbreviated to JMRC, is a state-owned company that operates the Jaipur Metro. The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. was created on 1 January 2010 with Nihal Chand Goel serving as the managing director.Among the Rapid Transit systems of India, it has been recorded fastest to conduct of trial run after starting construction, when it commenced trial runs in Jaipur on 18 September 2013 flagged off by the then Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shri Ashok Gehlot.
- Physical construction work on the Jaipur Metro started on 24 February 2011.JMRC consulted the DMRC on rapid transit operation and construction techniques.
- The first line of the Jaipur Metro was opened to public by Vasundhara Raje, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, on 3 June 2015, and thus, it became the sixth rapid transit system in India. Phase 1-b of the project is expected to start operating in March 2020.
