The selected candidates will get hands on experience of working in different sections of the library. The training programme will be as per the guidelines of Board of Apprenticeship/ Practical Training (Eastern Region), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Educational Qualification: Degree in Library science (Bachelor of Lib. & Inf. Sc. (BLIS) or Master of Lib. & Inf. Sc. (MLIS)-2 Years integrated) from a recognized university/institute.

Eligibility:
- Candidates should have a degree in Library science (Bachelor of Lib. & Inf. Sc. (BLIS) or Master of Lib. & Inf. Sc. (MLIS)-2 Years integrated) from a recognized university/institute. (Passed out after Jan, 2014). Candidates with MLIS degree having BLIS, the year of passing BLIS will be considered. Candidates not fulfilling the minimum eligibility will not be considered.
- Candidates should not have already undergone any apprenticeship training.
- Candidates should not have more than one year of work experience.
- Science graduates with computer proficiency will be given preference.
