General Instruction:
- ONLINE APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM DESIROUS AND ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES, FOR RECRUITMENT THE POST(S) OF DRIVER IN H.P.S.E.B.L.
- Date for determining eligibility of all candidates in respect of essential qualification(s) and experience, if any, etc., shall be the prescribed on closing date for submission of online recruitment applications (ORA), i.e. 18-05-2021.
- The candidates must read the INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY FOR APPLYING ONLINE which are available on the website of the HPSEBL, i.e.
www.hpseb.in before filling up Online Recruitment Application Form (ORA) for the above post. - The candidates must ensure their eligibility in respect of category, age and essential qualification(s) etc. as mentioned in the advertisement to avoid rejection at any later stage.
- Online Recruitment Application Forms submitted incomplete, without requisite examination fee will be rejected straightway.
- The benefit of reservation various posts will be admissible only to the candidates, who are bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh in respect of categories, viz., S.C.
- In service candidates may apply to the HPSEBL along with requisite fee with information to their Head of Departments/Employer for issuing NOC. No in service candidate will be evaluated unless he/she during NOC from the concerned employer.
- Examination fees once paid will not be refunded.
- Disputes if any, shall be subject to Court jurisdiction at Shimla.
- The decision of the HPSEBL regarding eligibility etc. of a candidate for admission to driving skill test or selection will be final and no correspondence/ personal enquiries will be entertained.
- Onus of proving that a candidate has acquired requisite driving license/essential qualification(s) by the stipulated date is on the candidate and in the absence of proof to the contrary, the date as mentioned on the face of certificate or the date of issue of certificate shall be taken as date of acquiring essential qualification. No extra opportunity shall be provided to the candidates to produce appropriate at the time f evaluation.
- All candidates, whether in Government Service or Government owned Industrial or Public Enterprises or other similar organizations or in private employment should submit their applications online directly to the HPSEBL. Persons already in regular Government service, whether in a permanent or temporary capacity are required to submit a declaration that they have informed in writing to their Head of Office/ Department that they have applied for a particular post. In case, a communication is received from their employer by the HPSEBL withholding permission to any candidate applying for/ appearing for the examination, his/her application(s) will be liable to be rejected.
- Casual/ adhoc / daily rated/ work charged/contractual employees do not need to produce NOC from the concerned employer.
- In Government service (regular service) candidates may apply to the HPSEBL along with requisite examination fees with information to their Head of Departments / Employer for issuing NOC. Any candidates, who are in regular Government Service or Government owned Industrial service, will not be evaluated unless he/she produces NOC from the concerned employer.
- Furnishing of false information and documents or suppression of any factual information in the application form would entail disqualification. If the fact that false information / document (s) has been furnished or that there has been suppression of any factual information in the application; comes to the notice at any time during the service of a person, his/her service would be liable to be terminated.
- The candidates applying for the post(s) should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for the post. If on verification at any time doing the selection process, it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions; their candidature for further process will be cancelled by the HPSEBL.

About Us:
- Himachal Pradesh is almost wholly mountainous state having altitudes ranging from 350meters to 6,975 with climate conditions varying from semi-tropical to semi-arctic. The total population of Himachal Pradesh as per 2011 census was 68,56,509 with population density being 123 persons per sq. Km. Electric supply at the time of formation of the state in 1948 was available only in the Capitals of the erstwhile princely states and the connected load at the time was less than 500 kW.Thus the organization of the power utility in the state began relatively recently and first electrical division was formed in August,1953 under the Public Works Department. .
- Subsequently a department of M.P.P & Power was formed in April, 1964. The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board was constituted on 1st September, 1971 in accordance with the provisions of Electricity Supply Act (1948) and has been reorganized as Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Ltd. w.e.f. 14.06.2010 under company act 1956.
