- Walk-In-Interview to fill up the posts of Senior Resident/Senior Tutor, Junior Resident/Tutor (on tenure basis) in various department at GGS Medical College & Hospital, Faridkot will be held at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot on 29th & 30th
- April and 06th & 07th May 2021 at 11:00 AM .

General Category- Rs. 1770 (Fee Rs. 1500 + GST Rs. 270 @ 18 %)
SC Category- Rs. 885 (Fee Rs. 750 + GST Rs. 135 @ 18 %) - The University has right to increase or decrease the number of posts at any stage without citing any reason or not to fill any or all the posts.
- Upper Age limit: As calculated on 1st January of 2021. For Junior Resident/Tutor is 37 years, relaxation in upper age limit as per Punjab Govt.
For Senior Resident maximum age must not be more than 40 years, provided that in case adequate eligible candidates of 40 years or below are not
available, candidates above the age of 40 years will also be eligible. No age limit in case of super specialties. - The Application on prescribed proforma must accompany self attested copies of certificates for proof of date of birth, permanent residence, marks
sheet, degree, experience etc. - The applications received without a valid bank draft or without legible copies of documents or apparently containing incomplete information and
those received after prescribed date & time will be summarily rejected. - Applicant must possess the requisite qualification & Experience by the last date of receipt of application.
- Candidates already in service must route their application Through Proper Channel.
- Permanent Registration is required from Punjab Medical Council/Medical Council of India.
- The term of appointment for the post is for three years.
- Candidates must appear for the Walk-In on May 06-07, 2021 (11 AM) While appearing for Walk-In-Interview, the aspirants have to bring a print of their registration form along with attested copies & originals of relevant documents (Mark sheets, proof of date of birth, passing certificates of higher secondary examination i.e. 10+2 onwards, caste certificate etc).

- Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was established in July 1998 by Punjab Act No. 18. It is named after Baba Farid, a 12th-century Punjabi sufi, and headquartered in Faridkot.
- University College of Nursing (UCON) was established as the School of Nursing in Year 1992. In 2001, this School of Nursing was upgraded into the College of Nursing with the intake of 50 seats in the BSc Nursing program. The Government of Punjab incorporated School of Nursing (Upgraded to University College of Nursing) as a constituent college of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, vide notification number 11 /299/01- 5SS3 /4770 Dated 14.10.2002.
- Presently, this institute is running its BSc nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing program in various specialities and a certificate course successfully.
- Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was established under an Act passed by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in July, 1998. The mission of the University is to create an intellectual, academic and physical environment, conducive to free flow of ideas and exchange of information between various faculties of the University and between this University and other Universities of Health Sciences in the country and abroad,thereby opening a window to the world for the health professionals, health planners, health managers, biomedical and social scientists and educators in health sciences of the country .
- Established in the memory of great Sufi Saint Baba Farid by Punjab govt. in July, 1998 by an Act of the State Legislature.
- Fifth of its kind in India, First in Northern India- Punjab Govt. deserves the credit of establishing it.Due to inadequacy of health professionals(in quantity & quality) the need was imminent. Such a University is expected to be a “Pace-setter” – in developing appropriate modes & models of Health Care. University committed to providing Community oriented need based education & Training programmes for Health professionals.
- His Excellency the Governor of Punjab has recognized all the degrees and diplomas certificates and other academic distinctions awarded by the this University w.e.f. 1st July, 1999.
- The Govt. of India has recognized the MBBS, MD/MS/PG Diploma/BDS/Bsc(Nursing)/M.Sc.(Nursing) being awarded by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences
