Note:
- The courses offered by Institutions/ Universities through the regular mode should be approved/ recognized by the necessary statutory bodies for employment to posts and services under the Central Government like Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/UGC/AICTE etc. Candidates who have obtained their qualification through distance learning/ part time mode are also eligible to apply provided their qualification is recognized by the relevant statutory bodies for employment to posts and services of the Central Government.
- Calculation of percentage of marks in the qualifying degree shall be as per university/ institution rules.
- Wherever CGPA/ OGPA/ CPI/ DGPA or letter grade in degree is awarded, equivalent % of marks should be indicated in the online application as per norms adopted by concerned University/ Institute. Please also obtain a certificate to this effect from the University/ Institute, which shall be required to be submitted at the time of interview. In cases where division/ class and percentage equivalence certificate is not given by the Institute for relative grades (CGPA/OGPA/CPI/DGPA etc.), the equivalence will be established by dividing the candidate’s relative grade with maximum possible corresponding scale and multiplying the result with 100.
- In case there is no mention of specialization in the qualifying degree as required in the Minimum Essential Qualifications above, candidates are to submit a certificate at the time of interview from their institution/ university with a clear mention of their specialization in the qualifying degree.
- Qualifications mentioned in the table above are sacrosanct. No equivalent qualifications shall be accepted e.g. AMIE (Mechanical)/ AMIE(Electrical)/ AMIE(Civil) etc. shall not be acceptable as a Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering respectively.
