General Information:
- Applications are invited up to 30th November 2020 in the prescribed format (available on the websites of ICMR-NIMR) through link http://onlineapply.nimr.org.in/ up to 05:00 PM on 30th November 2020 for the full time post of Consultant Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering) contract basis initially for one year on a consolidated salary of Rs.60,000/- per month (inclusive of all allowances) for Technical and Administrative supervision of the work relating to construction of various building at NIMR complex viz. Animal Facility Building (Test Research Laboratory), Hostel, Auditorium, Guest House Residence etc. and Technical & Administrative work related to maintenance of various services viz. Electrical, Fire Safety, HVAC , RO Plant etc of NIMR Research Block and services for New Building under construction and to be constructed at NIMR Complex, Sector-8, Dwarka, New Delhi.
- The candidate should have four years BE/B.Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering having specialization in HVAC/ four years BE/B.Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering having specialization in HVAC and experience in electrical installations with minimum of 20 years’ experience in the areas of construction and maintenance of building and should be familiar with the Government works procedures, technical, administration, legal,
arbitration and accounts in the research organizations of Govt. - Retired Govt. employees with Grade Pay of Rs.6600/- as per 6th Pay commission i.e. in the rank of Executive Engineer or equivalent for minimum five years in any central/State Govt/Autonomous Body of Govt/PSU education qualification mentioned above.
- Experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and having specialization in HVAC and experience in electrical installation, firefighting, HVAC installations, preferably for Animal Test Research Laboratory Building, BSL-2 level laboratory etc.

- The post is filled-up on purely temporary basis and contractual basis & the candidate will have no right to claim for any type of Permanent Employment under ICMRNIMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.

- The National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR), New Delhi, is one of the research institution of Indian Council of Medical Research under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, established in 1977 as Malaria Research Centre, which was renamed as National Institute of Malaria Research in November 2005.
- NIMR building The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long-term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research. The Institute also plays a key role in manpower resource development through trainings/workshops and transfer of technology. The major areas of research carried out over the years are on mosquito fauna surveys, development of genetic and molecular markers for important malaria vectors and parasites, cytotaxonomic studies identifying major vectors as species complexes and laboratory and field studies to examine the biological variations among sibling species, development of molecular identification techniques for sibling species, monitoring of insecticide resistance through space and time, preparation of action plans, etc. have yielded valuable information. Field evaluation of new insecticides, biolarvicides, insecticide-impregnated bed nets, drugs and parasite diagnostic kits have provided new armament to malaria control. Many of these have found place in national malaria control programme.
- NIMR has a network of well developed laboratories at Delhi carrying out research on all aspects of malaria along with 10 field laboratories in malarious areas, which serve as testing ground for new technologies and help in the transfer of technologies.
