General Conditions:
- Applications are invited for engagement of Consultant (Finance) on contractual basis initially for a period of one year and further extendable for one year as per requirement of ITPO on consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000/-each per month minus TDS. Interested candidates, who fulfil the following eligibility criteria,may apply for the post:
- The period of contract shall be for a period of one year from the date of joining which may be extended further for one year as per requirement of ITPO.
- Consultant will be paid consolidated remuneration of Rs.40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand Only) per month minus TDS, as applicable.
- Consultant will not be entitled to claim any benefit from ITPO, such as, earned leave, medical leave, medical reimbursement, hospitalization expenses,Leave Travel Concession, CPF, HRA or advance of any kind etc. as per prevalent Rules of ITPO amended from time to time.
- In case of absence from duty over and above the leave permissible, proportionate amount from remuneration will be deducted for the period of absence.
- Consultant will be responsible for all the duties assigned to him/her by ITPO.
- Working hours shall normally be from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. during working days including half an hour lunch break in between. However, in exigencies of work, he/she may be required to sit late and may be called on Saturdays/Sundays and other Gazetted Holidays also.
- During the period of contract the Consultant will be entitled to claim one day Casual Leave during the period of 45 days subject to approval of the Competent Authority.
- Consultant will be governed by the Official Secrets Act, 1923, as amended from time to time and will not disclose to any unauthorized person (s) any information/data that may be supplied to them during the period of engagement as “Consultant” in India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO). All such documents will be property of the ITPO.
- The Consultant will complete the assigned task within the stipulated period as per requirement of ITPO. He/She will not take up any assignment or contract which conflicts the interest of the ITPO in this matter elsewhere during the period of contract in ITPO.
- The period of contract will not confer any claim or right for subsequent engagement/employment with ITPO at a later date.
- The contract may be terminated at any time by the ITPO without assigning any reason by giving a month’s notice. Similarly, the Consultant may also disengage after giving notice for a similar period. In case ITPO terminates the contract without giving one month notice, one month remuneration shall be payable.
- In case of any differences or dispute arising out of or in connection with this engagement, decision of CMD, ITPO will be final and binding.

- India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), headquartered at Pragati Maidan, is the nodal agency of the Government of India under aegis of Ministry of Commerce and Industry (India) for promoting country’s external trade. ITPO is a Mini-Ratna Category-1 Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE)with 100 percent shareholding of Government of India.
- In January 2016, ITPO appointed NBCC as Project Management Consultant (PMC) for Integrated Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) project as part of Redevelopment of Pragati Maidan.The project garnered much media attention due to demolition of Hall of Nations and Nehru Pavilion by ITPO in April 2017, after approval from Delhi High Court. ITPO has awarded the IECC construction work to Shapoorji Pallonji Group for INR 2150 crores, making the project cost go over whopping INR 2600 crores.
- On 22 December 2017, Vice-President of India Venkaiah Naidu laid foundation stone of IECC project and Integrated Transit Corridor Development project at Pragati Maidan.
- India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) was incorporated by merger of Trade Development Authority (TDA), a Registered Society under Ministry of Commerce & Industry, with Trade Fair Authority of India (TFAI) with effect from 1 January 1992. TFAI was earlier incorporated, under Section 25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956, on 30 December 1976 by amalgamating 3 organisations of the Government of India viz. India International Trade Fair Organisation, Directorate of Exhibitions & Commercial Publicity and Indian Council of Trade Fairs & Exhibitions and commenced operations with effect from 1 March 1977.
- ITPO, during its existence of more than 3 decades has played a proactive role in catalysing trade, investment and technology transfer processes. Its promotional tools include organising of fairs and exhibitions in India and abroad, Buyer-Seller Meets, Contact Promotion Programmes, Product Promotion Programmes, Promotion through Overseas Department Stores, Market Surveys and Information Dissemination.
