1.The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) is seeking qualified candidates for the post of Director (Operations & Marketing), Pawan Hans Limited (PHL) in schedule “B” of the CPSE, the scale of pay of the post being 65,000-75,000 (REVISED). 2. COMPANY PROFILE:

Pawan Hans Limited was incorporated in October, 1985 (under the name of ‘Helicopter Corporation of India Limited’) as a Government company under the Companies Act, 1956 with the primary objective of providing helicopter support services to the oil sector in offshore
exploration, operate in hilly & inaccessible areas, small fixed wing aircrafts, make available charter flights for promotion of travel & tourism setting up of Training Institute of AMEs & pilots, operation of Sea Plane & setting up of specialized Institute for Safety Audit & Excellence and setting up of Heliports, Heli-Hubs, MRO & joint ventures for O&M of helicopter & small aircrafts. It is a Schedule ‘B’ CPSE under the administrative control of Ministry of Civil Aviation.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Director (Operations & Marketing) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to Chairman and Managing Director. Responsible for overall flying operations and maintenance of the Company’s helicopter/small fix wing aircraft fleet maximizing flying efforts to optimize
deployment of fleet, flight safety, evolving and implementing operational and maintenance policies and strategies, training and up gradation of flying standards of pilots, AMEs and technical personnel, responsible for compliance to rules and regulations of the Regulatory Authorities. Coordination with DGCA, manufacturers and other safety agencies for operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATION:

• The candidate should be a Pilot or Aircraft Engineer. Applicant with MBA in Business Development & Marketing shall have an added advantage.
• Minimum qualification can be relaxed in the case of internal candidates and Government officers with relevant and adequate background and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

The incumbent should possess adequate Operations/Marketing experience at a senior level of management, out of which at least two years should have been in Aviation Sector. He should have excellent knowledge of airline operations, DGCA & ICAO Regulations, International standards and practices of aviation industry including of commercials, marketing, MROs, flights/helicopters/aircrafts operations, maintenance systems, customers support services and vendor development.
