General Information:
- The Kerala Solid Waste Management Project (KSWMP), a World Bank Aided Project under Local Self Government Department of Kerala invites applications from qualified and experienced Professionals to the following posts for the State Project Management Unit (SPMU) of KSWMP for immediate appointment on Contract basis for a period of one year.

- Appointment to all the above posts will be purely on contract basis for a period of one year.
- Only post qualification, work experience of the candidates until 30.11.2020 will be considered. - The objective of World Bank assisted Kerala Solid Waste Management Project (KSWMP) is to strengthen the institutional capacity of all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and to provide additional support in waste management, septage and sewage management and sanitation sector. KUSDP funds will be allotted to the Urban Local Bodies as additionality to the budget provisions given as Plan fund by the State Government
- Suchitwa Mission is the Technical Support Group (TSG) in Waste Management sector under the Local Self Government Department, Government of Kerala. It is responsible for providing technical and managerial support to the Local Self Governments of the State. Also responsible for conceptualizing, action planning, conducting creative workshops, organizing training programmes, initiating sector related studies, bringing out occasional papers, initiating action research, conducting monitoring and such other activities in Waste Management Sector. The Mission is also the Nodal agency for implementing Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) and Communication and Capacity Development Unit (CCDU) in the State
- Waste free Kerala with unpolluted environment, public hygiene and cleanliness with better quality of life leading to improved health and general wellbeing, economic gains, better aesthetic surroundings and overall environmental upgradation.
- Function as Technical Support Group for Local Self Government Institutions (LSGIs) in Waste Management sector.
- Assist in achieving Total Sanitation coverage by LSGIs
- Providing policy, strategy, planning, implementation and monitoring support for Solid and Liquid Waste Management
- Organizing IEC campaigns and Capacity Building activities in Sanitation and Waste Management sector
- Promotion of Green Protocol compliance by individuals, institutions and various tiers of Government.
- The Government of India has sanctioned a CCDU specifically for sanitation sector with the objective to develop state specific information, education and communication strategy and provide capacity development to functionaries at all levels.
- The unit provides IEC/HRD support to State Suchitwa Mission and districts. Besides, it provides HRD/IEC inputs to all Swachh Bharat Mission projects and also to state scheme projects. The CCDU also documents successful IEC/HRD initiatives in the State and disseminate the same among functionaries at different levels.
