General Information:
- Applications are invited from suitable candidates interested to be empanelled as Guest Faculty in Central University of Jammu for Academic Session 2020-21 as per following details.
- Retired teachers/faculty shall also be considered for empanelment as Guest faculty for S. no. 1 & 2
- Keeping in the view COVID-19 pandemic, the interested candidates will download the application forms available on the University website and submit the same at the specific Department email ID as given in annexure ‘A’ as scanned copy along with all relevant documents by 18/12/2020 upto
05:00PM. - Eligible/Short-listed candidates will be contacted and intimated the date and time of interview in a staggered time slots as COVID-19 protocols.
- The candidates may report for Interview on allotted date and time along with their original documents, experience certificates etc., one photocopy of self-attested documents, CV/Bio-data and two self attested photographs.
- The selected candidates shall have no claim for extension or permanent appointment as it is a time gap interim engagement on requirement basis.
- Validity of panel will be for Academic Session 2020-21.
- The Guest faculty will be purely engaged on per lecture and on as and when requirement basis by Departments.
- The empanelled guest faculty who will be called for interview will be required to deposit Rs. 500/- as application processing fees in the form of Account Payee Cheque/DD in favour of Finance Officer, Central University of Jammu. SC/ST candidates are exempted.
- All persons involved in the process will strictly adhere to precautions/protocol measures against spread of COVID-19 at all times and at all places.
- University intends to empanel Guest Faculty on purely per lecture basis on as and when required in the Departments/Programmes (i) Marketing and Supply Chain Management (ii) English (iii) Community College(Beauty and Wellness) The qualifications and eligibility as per UGC guidelines/regulations (amended from time to time) and Central University Act, 2009 will be applicable.

- SC/ST candidates are exempted. Application fee is 500/- as application processing fees in the form of Account Payee Cheque/DD in favour of Finance Officer, Central University of Jammu.

- Central University of Jammu in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India has been established through an Act of Parliament: “The Central Universities Act, 2009” by Govt. of India. It started functioning from 2011. Dr. Sudhir Singh Bloeria was first Vice Chancellor of the university.
- The Central University of Jammu came into existence on 8 August 2011, with the appointment of the first Vice-Chancellor. It was established by the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Act No.25 of 2009 read with the Central Universities Act, 2009).
- The first academic session (2011-2012) commenced with three Post Graduate courses in English, Economics and Applied Mathematics at Temporary Academic Block-I (TAB-I) at Sidhra bypass road, Jammu. In the next academic session (2012-2013), five PG Courses were added: Computer Science, Educational Studies, Environmental Sciences, Human Resource Management and Travel & Tourism Management in Temporary Academic Block (TAB-II) at Sainik Colony Extension. Since the third session (2013-2014) all the departments are functioning from TAB at Sainik Colony. Four new post graduate courses were introduced in the academic session (2014-2015): National Security Studies; Public Policy & Public Administration; Social Work and Mass Communication & New Media. The University also offers Integrated M-Phil-Ph.D programme in eight subjects.
- The University carries out its administrative functions from its head office at Bagla, Rahya-Suchani, District. Samba.
- The Central University of Jammu campus is under construction at Village Bagla, Raya Suchani in District Samba, which is at an approximate distance of 25 km from Jammu.
- The President of India is the Visitor of the University. The Chancellor is the ceremonial head of the university while the executive powers rest with the Vice-chancellor. The Court, the Executive Council, the Academic Council, the Board of studies and the Finance Committee are the administrative authorities of the University.
