CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology (CSIR-IMTECH) is a constituent R&D establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) a premier agency established by Govt. of India to undertake Scientific & Industrial Research. The institute is engaged in research in many different areas of modern biological sciences and microbe-related biotechnology, with special emphasis on research that is interdisciplinary and of a collaborative nature.

Vacancy Details:
POST No. 1 :-Technical Assistant Group III (2) — (Total-01 Post —RESERVED for Scheduled Tribe Backlog)
Pay Band:-Rs.9300-34800 plus Grade Pay Rs.4200/- + usual allowances (Total emoluments: Rs.30,000/- per month (approx.)
Essential Qualification:-1st Class B.Sc. in Physical Sciences/Life Sciences/Chemical Sciences/Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) with one year full time professional qualification or one year experience in handling of analytical sophisticated equipments.
Desirable:– Candidates having 2/3 years of relevant experience will be preferred.
Job Requirement:- Laboratory work
Age Limit:- Not exceeding 33 years including relaxation for Scheduled Tribe, as per G.O.I orders as on last date of receipt of application.
POST No.2 :-Technical Assistant Group III (2) — (01 Post— (UR)
Pay Band:-Rs.9300-34800 plus Grade Pay Rs.4200/- + usual allowances (Total emoluments: Rs.30,000/-per month (approx.)
Essential Qualification:-1st Class B.Sc. in Physical Sciences/Life Sciences/Chemical Sciences/ Medical Laboratory

General Conditions:-
1.The service under CSIR/IMTECH is governed by the New Defined Contributory Pension Scheme of Government of India as made applicable with effect from 1st January, 2004.
2.The prescribed age limit will be reckoned as on the last date for receipt of application. Relaxation of age in respect of Physically Handicapped and Ex-Serviceman will be as per Govt. of India orders. Relaxation to SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories will be as per GoI Orders in respect of posts reserved for those categories.
3.Relaxation in age limit upto 5 years will be permissible to CSIR employees/Government/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertaking employees in accordance with the instructions and orders issued by the Government of India from time to time.
4.Relaxation in age limit, qualification and/or experience in cases of exceptional meritorious candidates would be allowed with the prior approval of the Director General, CSIR. The qualification should be from the recognized Institute.
5.The incumbent of the posts are liable to be transferred on all India basis in any of the CSIR Labs./Institute/Centres/Hqtrs.
6.Relaxation of 5-years in age will also be permissible to those who had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 subject to production of relevant certificate from concerned authority.
7.Those employed in Govt. Deptt/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies should send their applications through proper channel.
8.Mere fulfillment of the minimum prescribed qualification and experience will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for interview. The Screening Committee will short list the candidates by prescribing higher percentage of marks/ or with experience/written test so as to restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable number since it is not feasible to call all the candidates for interview. The decision of the Director CSIR-IMTECH will be final in this regard.
9.Incomplete, unsigned applications and those not accompanied with copies of certificates and application fee will be summarily rejected.
10.Canvassing in any form and or/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
