Educational Qualification:

For Technical Assistant: Three years Graduate degree in Life Science/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Bio Chemistry/Biological Science/ Industrial Health/Mechanical/ Instrumentation Engg./Environmental Science) or Graduate degree in relevant subject with 2 years diploma in relevant subject.
For Technician: 10 + 2 with Science subjects or equivalent from a recognized board with one year Diploma certificate in Medical Lab. Technology from Govt. recognized organization/Institute.
Note:
- The post mentioned above likely to be increased. The Departmental candidates possessing the require qualification in their case as per ICMR rules. Age relaxation up to 5 years is allowed for Govt. servants and for SC / ST — 5 years, OBC — 3 years and PH — 10 years in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Govt. from time to time. Crucial date for calculating the maximum age will be last date of receipt of application. Candidates belonging to SC / ST / PH and OBC (Non-Creamy layer) should furnish their certificates in the prescribed format failing which their application will not be considered.
- OBC candidates are required to submit the caste certificate issued by competent authority in the prescribed format (Appendix-3) as per Govt. of India instruction.
- Candidates working in the Long Term projects in ICMR Institutes / Centres shall be given one time age relaxation, for posts advertised under Direct Recruitment provided they meet essential qualifications and experience for the post, with a view to provide them opportunity to compete with other candidates – as per Council’s Letter No. 6/1/2007-Admn.II dated 10-2-2011.
- The selection/appointment will be made by conducting a competitive written test for the eligible candidates after short listing, who fulfill the eligibility criteria.
- Pay & other allowances are admissible as per ICMR rules. Benefit of new restructured defined contributory Pension Scheme is admissible for new entrants as per provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Economic Affair (ECB && PR Divn.). Notification No. 5/7/2003- ECB & PR dated 22.12.2003 effective from 01.01.2004.
