The CSIR — Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee, a constituent establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research wishes to recruit dynamic young candidates as temporary manpower to work in various sponsored / CSIR Network Projects (Under 12th Five Year Plan) as per details given below. Panel of suitable candidates will also be made, which will be operative for a maximum period of one year from the date of interview or another interview to be conducted by the Institute for recruitment of similar positions in future, whichever is earlier.

Employment Notification Recruitment of Project Asst. & Project Fellow at CBRI, Roorkee
Age Limit : Age will be reckoned on the date of interview which is relaxable up to 5 years in case of the candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / PH and Female Community for CSIR Plan Projects. For other Sponsored Projects age is relaxable upto 5 years for SC / ST / PH and 3 years for OBC Candidates.
General Conditions : The position of Project Assistants / Project Fellows is for a specific duration for the GAP / sponsored Projects and the CSIR Network Projects, which will initially be for a period of one year (except the positions shown at Sl.No. 05 and Sl.No. 07) Subsequently, if work and conduct of these Project Assistants / Project Fellows (positions shown at Sl.No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11 ) are found up to the mark, their tenure may be extended for further one year and so on or till the duration of the Project whichever is earlier and will be co-terminus with the expiry of the Project and will not confer any right, explicitly or implicitly, for regular absorption in the Institute/CSIR or in the sponsoring organizations. The award of Project Assistant ship / Project Fellowship does not imply any assurance or guarantee for subsequent employment by CSIR or CBRI, Roorkee. No TA will be paid for appearing in the interview. Director, CBRI reserves the right not to fill-up these positions or any one amongst them, if he so decides. The requirement of the positions are variable. A candidate who claims to belong to OBC has to submit in support of his/her claim an attested copy of a Certificate for Current Year in the prescribed form issued for the jobs under Central Govt. to the effect that He / She does not belong to the Persons/ Sections (Creamy Layer). Candidates may take their interview in Hindi as well as in English.
