General Information:
- Candidates who have proficiency in Malayalam language will have preference in appointment.
- The required qualifications should be from Universities/ Institutions approved by UGC/NCVT/Kerala Public Service Commission or other approved agencies. The experience certificate should be from reputed firms in India.
- The list of selected candidates published in pursuance of this Notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of One year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new Ranked List after the minimum period of expiry of one year is published. Candidates will be advised against the vacancies shown above and for all the vacancies reported during the period of the Ranked List.
- Mode of Appointment: Direct Recruitment.
- Age Limit: 18-36. Only candidates born between 2-1-1984 and 1-1-2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the above posts. The following
concessions in upper age limits are available subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (Fifty) years. - Five years of age relaxation is available to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Three years of age relaxation is
available to the candidates belonging to other Backward Communities. - Differently abled candidates (vision, hearing, speech) are eligible for age concession up to 15 years and Orthopaedically differently abled candidates are eligible for age concession up to 10 years.
- Five years of age relaxation is available to the existing employees of Kerala House, New Delhi.
- Maximum age limit prescribed for appointment to the post will be relaxed in the case of Ex-Service men to the extent of the period of service put in by them in the Defence Forces and the period of unemployment on discharge up to a maximum of five years.
- Widows will be eligible for age relaxation of maximum 5 years from the upper age limit.
- Reservation of Appointments: The rules relating to the reservation of appointments (General Rules 14 to 17 B of Kerala State and Subordinate Services Rules, 1958) shall be applied to all appointments by direct recruitment in Kerala House, New Delhi. In addition to that, 10% of reservation shall be considered for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) as stipulated in G.O.(Ms.) No. 5/2020/P&ARD dated 3-3-2020. Candidates claiming application fee exemption (SC/ST/BPL), age relaxation, communal reservation (Community certificate for SC/ST, OBC NCL for OBC, EWS for economically weaker sections), Disability etc. should obtain the relevant certificates valid during the online registration and should produce at the time of certificate verification/ interview.
- Applications shall be submitted to more than one posts. Application fee for each post is Rs. 200/- which is to be remitted online along with submission of the application. Candidates belong to SC/ST & BPL are exempted from payment of fee. Non Keralites will be considered only in general category. Application fee once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.
- Differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply for Chauffeur post.
- Candidates who are applying for the posts serially numbered from 7 to 9 should not have acquired any graduation. The above candidates should produce a Medical Certificate in original, at the time of interview, certifying to their physical fitness. The Medical Certificate should be one obtained from a Medical Officer under the Government not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/ Junior Consultant.
- The employees are expected to work even at odd hours according to shift pattern which may not be conducive to women candidates.
- Examinations will be conducted at four Centres-Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam,Kozhikode in Kerala and New Delhi. The venue once selected by the candidate will be treated as final. Request for change of examination city/centre/shift will not be entertained.
- Written test for posts serially numbered 1 to 3 will be in English. Written test for the posts serially numbered 4 to 9 will be in Malayalam.
- Skill test will be conducted for the posts of Steno Typist/ Confidential Assistant to Controller, Chauffeur and Cook. Interview will be conducted for all posts. Skill test and interview will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The venue of skill test and interview will be informed separately.
- No TA/DA will be paid for written test/Skill test/Interview.
- MODE OF SUBMITTING APPLICATION: Candidate should submit their application through LBS website (lbscentre.kerala.gov.in). Applications will be absolutely rejected if they are found as non-compliance with the conditions in the notification in any stage of selection. No further chances will be given to candidates to cure the defects in the application. The candidates should posses e-mail ID and mobile phone with valid number. - The LBS Centre for Science and Technology ( LBSCS &T), Thiruvananthapuram the premier institute of computer training and consultancy, registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary , Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955 was established by Government of Kerala in 1976. The Centre was started by the Government of Kerala as an Autonomous body with the main objectives that the Centre would act as a link between the industries and technical institutions so as to benefit society through their mutual interactions.
- The Centre is administered by a Governing Body and an Executive Committee. The Chief Minister, Government of Kerala is the Chairman of the Governing Body and the Minister for Education is the Vice-Chairman. The Principal Secretary for Higher Education is the Chairman of the Executive Committee and the Director of Technical Education is its Vice-Chairman. The Director of the Centre is the Member Secretary of both the bodies. He is the Executive head of the Centre. There are Joint Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, Administrative Officer, Finance Officer and other subordinate staff to help the Director in administration and financial matters.
- Highly qualified personnel holding Post Graduate and Doctoral Degrees with several years of experience constitute the hard core of our staff structure. In addition, we are authorized to make use of the services of eminent Professors and experts from Engineering Colleges, other organizations and industries as consultants for executing the various programmes undertaken by the Centre. The facility to make use of the expertise of the various eminent consultants from any organization or industry makes the Centre competent to undertake and successfully complete project works of different Govt. departments using the latest tools and technologies.
- LBS Centre is a recognized research study Centre of Kerala University leading to the award of Ph.D. A few scholars are already making use of the facilities of the Centre for their research programmes under the University of Kerala and one person has already obtained Ph.D.
