The National Council for Teacher Education is a statutory body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, set up with a view to achieving planned and coordinated development of the teacher education system throughout the country, the regulation and proper maintenance of norms and standards in the teacher education system, and for matters connected therewith.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the following posts on contract basis for NCTE Hqrs., New Delhi. Retired officers from central, state governments/PSUs/statutory or semi government or autonomous bodies under governments are encouraged to apply.
Vacancy Details:
1. Consultant-III (Academic)
Remuneration: Rs.50,000/- (fixed) per month + Rs.5,000/- conveyance allowance
2. Consultant-II
Remuneration: Rs.48,000/- (fixed) per month + Rs.4,000/- conveyance allowance
3. Consultant-I
Remuneration: Rs.42,000/- (fixed) per month + Rs.3,000/- conveyance allowance
4. Senior / Chief Consultant
Remuneration: Rs.70,000/- (fixed) per month + Rs.6,000/- conveyance allowance
5. Junior Consultant (Academic)
Remuneration: Rs.48,000/- (fixed) per month + Rs.4,000/- conveyance allowance
6. Consultant (Finance & Accounts)
Remuneration: Rs.42,000/- (fixed) per month + Rs.3,000/- conveyance allowance
7. Consultant (E-Governance)
Remuneration: Rs.48,000/- (fixed) per month
9. Consultant (Public Relations and Promotions)
Remuneration: Rs.35,000/- (fixed) per month
10. Research Assistants
Remuneration: Rs.25,000/- (fixed) per month
