The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate change, Government of India.WII carries out wildlife research in areas of study like Biodiversity, Endangered Species, Wildlife Policy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Forensics, Spatial Modeling, Ecodevelopment, Habitat Ecology and Climate Change. WII has a research facility which includes Forensics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Laboratory, Herbarium, and an Electronic Library.The institute is based in Dehradun, India. It is located in Chandrabani, which is close to the southern forests of Dehradun.
W A L K – I N – I N T E R V I E W for engaging Project Assistant on Contract
The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites applications for Walk-in-interview for engaging Project Assistant for the Short term Project entitled “Population Genetic Structure and Gene Flow in Brown Bear (Ursus arctos isabellinus) Populations in India (Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand) and assess extent of gene flow between populations of India and Pakistan : Conservation and Forensic implications” purely on contractual basis for a period of two years.

General Conditions
1.The candidate should report by 0930 hrs for scrutiny of documents on 27th April, 2016 followed by an Interview on the same day at 1100 hrs. The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview.
2.Candidates should bring the duly filled-in application with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications along with certificate of extracurricular activities; date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations etc. All original documents/certificates must be produced at the time of registration for necessary verification.
3.No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The Director WII, reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason thereof.
