Educational Qualification:
Graduate in Life sciences and 3 yrs experience (or) Masters degree in Life Sciences ,Intermediate or 12th pass in Biological Science subjects plus two years diploma in medical laboratory technology (or) one year diploma in DMLT and one year experience (or) 2 years experience.

General Conditions:
- Applications are invited in the prescribed format (available on the websites of ICMR and NIMR) for the temporary and contractual posts at ICMR-NIMR. Interested and eligible candidates may appear for Walk-in-Interview together with prescribed application duly filled in with one recent
photograph and photocopies of the certificates/testimonials and declaration form of OBC candidates and the originals for verification before the Selection Committee as per enclosedm schedule at ICMR- National Institute of Malaria Research, Research Field Unit- Nirmal Bhawan-ICMR Complex,Poojanahalli,Kannamangla Post,Devanahalli Taluk, Bengaluru562110, India. - Interested and eligible candidates can appear for walk-in-interview/personal discussions on the dates mentioned against each post along with the duly filled in the prescribed application form (attached). Kindly note, separate application is to be submitted for each post in each/different project.
- It may be mentioned here that incomplete applications, application not submitted in prescribed format and application without supportive documents asked for shall be summarily rejected.
- Qualification and experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from a reputed institution / organization recognized by relevant authority.
- Experience shall be counted from the date of completion of minimum essential educational qualification.
- Submission of incorrect or false information during the process of walk-ininterview/or personal discussion shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
- The Director reserves the right to increase / decrease the number of vacancies as per requirement.
- The Director, NIMR has the right to accept/ reject any application without assigning any reason thereof and no correspondence will be entertained in this matter.
- The Director, NIMR reserves right to fill up or not fill up any of the post advertised on website.
- Candidate should write the Name of Project on the top of the application. Candidates applying for more than one post should apply SEPARATELY for each post.
- No benefit of provident fund, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. will be considered, since the posts are purely temporary basis.
- Age relaxation is admissible to SC/ST/OBC/EXM/Departmental candidates including projects as per Govt. of India/ICMR Norms. No age relaxation will be considered for unreserved post.
- Age limit and experience will be considered as on the date of walk-ininterview/personal discussion.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview/personal discussion/written test.
- Mere fulfilling the essential qualification / experience does not guarantee selection.
- Candidates employed in Govt. Service /Semi Govt./ Autonomous Bodies of State/Central Govt. should submit a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer at the time of walk-in- interview/written test / personal discussion failing which he/she will not be allowed to appear in written/personal discussion.
- Community/ Caste certificate: Candidates applying under OBC category, shall submit attested copy of OBC Non – Creamy Layer Certificate in specified format, issued within one year from the date of walk-in- interview test and / or personal discussion by the appropriate authority. Only Non Creamy Layer OBC certificates will be accepted and other certificates will not be accepted.
- All posts are contractual for the duration offered. The appointment may be renewed after every specific period of time subject to satisfactory performance and project requirement.
- The above posts are filled-up on purely temporary basis and contractual basis & the candidate will have no right to claim for any type of Permanent Employment under ICMR-NIMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
- Canvassing and bringing inside or outside influence in any form for short listing and employment will treated as a disqualification and the candidate will be debarred from selection process.

- The National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR), New Delhi, is one of the research institution of Indian Council of Medical Research under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, established in 1977 as Malaria Research Centre, which was renamed as National Institute of Malaria Research in November 2005.
- The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long-term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research. The Institute also plays a key role in manpower resource development through trainings/workshops and transfer of technology. The major areas of research carried out over the years are on mosquito fauna surveys, development of genetic and molecular markers for important malaria vectors and parasites, cytotaxonomic studies identifying major vectors as species complexes and laboratory and field studies to examine the biological variations among sibling species, development of molecular identification techniques for sibling species, monitoring of insecticide resistance through space and time, preparation of action plans, etc. have yielded valuable information. Field evaluation of new insecticides, biolarvicides, insecticide-impregnated bed nets, drugs and parasite diagnostic kits have provided new armament to malaria control. Many of these have found place in national malaria control programme.
- NIMR has a network of well developed laboratories at Delhi carrying out research on all aspects of malaria along with 10 field laboratories in malarious areas, which serve as testing ground for new technologies and help in the transfer of technologies.
