Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), one of the leading Centres of ISRO is looking for Graduate Apprentices for the training year 2015-16 under the Apprentices Act, 1961, in the following designated disciplines.

Qualifications: First Class Engg. Degree (Four/three year duration) granted by an Indian University in the respective field with not less than 65% marks..

Qualifications: Degree + first class B.LISc. with not less than 60 % marks

General Conditions:
1.Candidates who have passed BE/ B.Tech./ B.LISc. in/after April 2013 are eligible to apply. Those who passed degree in 2013 will be eligible for apprenticeship till July 2016 as per the provisions of Apprentices Act and they will not be offered the training position after July 2016, even if they are empanelled/wait listed.
2.Courses recognized by Universities from Southern region (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Pondicherry) will be given priority since these states comes under southern region of BOAT. Candidates from other universities will be considered only in case there is shortage of candidates in the respective discipline.
3.Candidates inducted for Apprenticeship will be registered under the Apprentices Act 1961.
4.The induction of apprentices against the 2015-2016 vacancies will be made strictly based on the position in the panel subject to the availability of vacancies. Selection is based on marks with due weight age to reservation categories and ratio of applications from various southern region universities with reference to the training positions. The training of new batch is expected to start in February 2016.
5.Ex-Apprentices or current Apprentices in any organization/firm are not eligible to apply. Combining of Apprenticeship with other institutions is not permitted.
6.Those candidates with one year or more job experience in the relevant field either in Govt./ Public/ Private sectors are not eligible
7.Upper age limit is 30 years as on 01.11.2015. SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India orders. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD (OH/PH) candidates is applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
8.Candidates should attach true copies of certificate and consolidated mark list of their degree qualification and proof of date of birth (copy of SSC/AISSE/ICSE/SSLC) while submitting their applications. Copies of experience, if any, copy of community certificate (if belongs to SC/ST), Non-Creamy layer certificate (if belongs to OBC), Disability certificate (if PH candidate) also to be furnished.
9.Only Indian nationals need apply.
10.The trainees will have no claim whatsoever for employment in Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre or any other Centers /Units of Indian Space Research Organisation/Department of Space after completion of the training period. No accommodation will be provided by the Centre for Apprentices during training period.
Procedure for selection: Interested candidates may register their names at Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region), Chennai through the web site address www.sdcentre.orq. Board of Apprenticeship Training, Chennai together with Supervisory Development Centre, Kalamassery has scheduled Walk-in-interview at Kollam (Kerala) as indicated above. After registration, candidates may personally report at VSSC’s pavilion in the respective venue against the dates mentioned therein and
submit their bio-data on the spot.
